Featuring apartments boasting a private balcony offering panoramic ocean views over Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays, Martinique Whitsunday is a French-Caribbean style resort. We booked the Martinique for a two night stay and our expectations were exceeded - so much that if we'd had the time, we would have stayed longer. Sanja welcomed us upon arrival and made us feel comfortable right away. Our apartment had an amazing view out to the ocean and everything was clean and in great condition. The apartment has everything one could possibly ask for. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest and will return in the future.

Beautiful township. Lots to do at Airlie and the surrounds. Great base to get out to the islands, but we also used as a base to go to places like Horseshoe Bay, Hideaway Bay and Dingo Beach plus a day trip into Bowen.
Airlie Beach has only recently grown with well developed attractions very popular with back packers. Most of the attractions relate to excursions to the adjacent Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef. There are a lot of shops, restaurants and bars. The local Council have created extensive attractive park facilities. There is only one local bus route following the main road around the coastal fringe with everything within easy walking distance but cash is needed for the fare which is very inconvenient. Consequently, a car is the preferred mode of transport-and it shows.
Airlie Beach is a delight for visitors of all ages, from young international backpackers to old fogies like me. Endless choice for food, drink and nightlife and regular ferry services to the surrounding islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Any visitor to Australia and Queensland should not miss a visit to Airlie each for at least 3 or 4 days.
Airlie Beach is a pretty little town with one main street. The Lagoon area is great as you can't swim in the sea half the year due to "Stingers". There's also a netted beach area a bit further from the main street. Lots of Bars, restaurants and Boutiques, plus a supermarket and tourist information shops. It is a place where you leave from to go on adventures at other islands and do water activities around the area. Activities are not cheap and good to book some things before you get there. A lot of the hotel and apartments are located on steep hills which makes walking back from town a challenge. Taxis and shuttles are available, there's also a regular public bus to travel further shops.
We visited Airlie Beach in the tropical wet season, planned and booked for a week, due to heavy rain over a few days, (wet season), roads were cut off on our return to the airport, we had to spend another week, BONUS, we had already booked and stayed a few extra days having fallen in love with Airlie Beach and the surrounding mountains, National Parks, rainforest and coastline, an extra week on top was fabulous. We've booked again.........
Getting around Airlie Beach is easy and very walkable! We loved finding spots to sip coffee in the morning or watch the sunset at night. So many great places for coffee/breakfast from the Sidewalk Cafe to the Fat Frog to Berry and Maple!!! Northerlies is well worth the drive or taking their free shuttle for a nice afternoon lunch. If you prefer to eat from your place, picking up amazing fresh seafood from Fishi's where the staff are so helpful!!!

Pete is the nicest man I met on my travels from Melbourne to Airlie Beach. I was towing a large boat, Pete drove out from the property and guided me to wear to safely park the boat, and showed me where I was staying. He called to make sure I could find the place and was super friendly. I was amazed at the view from my room and it reminded me of a Bed and Breakfast I stayed in Rome, with the swimming pool inside! Great place - Thanks Pete!
Airlie Beach
What an excellent stay. After a tumultuous road trip journey to get to Airlie Beach, staying at the Whitsunday BnB Retreat made it all the more worth it. The property is beautiful and tranquil, clean and comfortable. The host, Leonie is incredibly kind and friendly (she even dried and folded our damp clothes so they would be ready for check out). Overall, I would highly recommend staying at her place and I hope to be back in the future.
Airlie Beach
Loved the room. It was spacious with an amazing view that was breathtaking. Everything was very clean and organized. We loved our giant screen TVs that made watching movies an absolute pleasure. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Airlie beach. Lastly the people who run the hotel are very friendly and helpful and will give a lot of useful suggestions about the activities in the area.
Airlie Beach
Staff very helpful and friendly and very good quality/ price rate. Affordable accomodation in Airlie Beach, as most of the accomodations are expensive and the place is quite average, so I find that paying big amount was not worth it. That’s why I chose Kipara. The hotel has also a very good kitchen to prepare dinner. The WC was OK. The Whitsundays are very nice, but Airlie has nothing much.
Airlie Beach
Excellent location close to all the action in Airlie beach. Jules in hotel reception and tour bookings is over the top nice, friendly and knowledgeable. She goes over and above to help❣️👏 Magnums is comprised of many private cabins in a forest like setting and there are also some hostel options available. The connected bar/beer garden has live nightly music 🎶 and many food options.

The hosts are amazing, we spent a lot of time talking to them to know better about Airlie Beach, what to do, where to eat… The accommodation is just as amazing! The view just talks by itself, looks like heaven. You have everything you need for breakfast (cereals, fresh fruits, bread…) Coming back for sure ! Thank you for everything

this property is in a great location, walkable to all the Airlie Beach has to offer. The size and amenities in the apartment are perfect for any length of stay, the rooms are bright and sunny and cheerfully appointed. Our host responded quickly to all inquiries and was great to communicate with.

The staff at the mirage were amazing. the location in itself is amazing but a little bit further than expected to main area of Airlie beach. The hotel needs a little maintained and updating but was a great trip & stay.
The location of the hotel. Right at the centre. Equidistant to everything right from the pick up bus stop, airlie beach, shops, restaurants. you name it and you have it right in front of you.

Perfect quiet location with beautiful views and easy walking distance from Airlie Beach's main street. Lovely host, lovely & clean accommodation, would definitely stay here again!

It was quiet. The room was spacious and had the amenities we needed. It has a restaurant but I don’t think they serve breakfast. Airlie Beach is a mere 10 minutes drive from the hotel.
