With free Wi-Fi, free BBQ facilities and rooms with a private spa bath, Avoca Cottages VICTORIA overlooks the lovely Avoca Golf Course. Guests can relax on their private balcony. The set up was fantastic - we thought it would be good for a bigger family gathering. Breakfast excellent, rooms were spacious, just all around wonderful. We did have great weather too - that helps. Absolutely recommend for family with children though we were adults touring a couple of wineries.

The Property was extremely clean, well appointed, comfortable and convenient. Avoca is in the centre of the Goldfield Shire / the Grampiens and with more than 20 wineries in close proximity the perfect destination for wine connoisseur and for everyone who loves to hike. The sourrunding villages and towns have a long history that is worth learning about.
Loved Avoca, a quiet little town with plenty to offer, friendly people, the motel we stayed in was excellent and close to town, they have a few shops, plenty of places to eat and the highlight was the Avoca Hotel, fantastic hosts and the food was exceptional. We’ll be back and we’ll tell others about Avoca.
The views the wineries the fossicking and talking to to the locals was genuinely surprised how much i enjoyed it. Just loved the experience would have just spent a night if it weren'T FOR COVIS but glad i have been and seen
Unfortunately many cafes were closed during our brief stay. A petrol station with workshop is on one corner as you go through town. On Sunday had enough time to visit the Stickybeaks craft shop where I found a delicious Summer Berries tea and a book.
This is a cute little town right in the middle of some of the Most Wonderful wineries. It is in the perfect location for some Great prospecting sites as well. The Homemade Cafe is The Best place for Fabulous coffee, a regular or gluten free pie & a chat with the great staff.
Room was large, warm and the bed was very comfortable. Nice to have the Shed where continental breakfast was available however in the morning it was way too cold to sit there and eat and I needed to take my food back to my room where it was warmer. On the down side the TV only worked for a few of the available channels and kept dropping out and the carpet in my room was a bit faded. Overall it was good value and I would stay there again.
Managed to get a quick break between lockdowns in Victoria and this was just what we needed. Peaceful and so very relaxing in a lovely setting. The cook-your-own-breakfast was a wonderful surprise included in the price and an incredibly generous amount. Jane, the host, was extremely welcoming and made us feel quite at home. I cannot praise it highly enough! Thanks, Jane, we'll be back when these lockdowns are finished!
Lovely hotel, old but clean and fresh.
