The hotel is located about 1.5 km from town centre. It is located on the main road but entry is via a side street so it is a quiet location. Parking is easy. Outdoor areas are quite nice. The bathrooms are modern and the room itself is of decent size with a couch and dining table for two. Breakfast was home made and included in the tariff.

No meals but the access to the township of Beechworth was a short walk or taxi trip.
The units/cottages were separate with tables and chairs on the verandahs and views of the surrounding treed areas and open spaces. The cottage was clean and provided the facilities needed for self catering.
Located on Beechworth’s Sydney Road, opposite the National Trust Buildings, this 4-star motel offers free Wi-Fi and broadband access, an outdoor pool and free parking.

Beechworth has a fascinating history with interesting museums and great local cafes, pubs and restaurants. Its location is within close proximity to a number of towns and cities that are also historical and also have many activities of interest. The Benev Spa was a wonderful experience that is in the very top of standards of spas in Vic. Another site to visit for some site-seeing is the Murmungee lookout, a quite spot with breath-taking views of the Murmungee basin and The Great Dividing Range. Two particularly good culinary highlights were the Ox & Hound Restaurant and the Stanley Pub.

I was visiting a daughter who lives in Beechworth but who doesn't have room to put anyone up. We used to live in Wangaratta for many years, and I always loved Beechworth and visited often. Lovely shops and cafes, interesting places to visit, beautiful scenery.

Beechworth is a beautiful gem in Victoria's golden history.
Beechworth is a beautiful gem in Victoria's golden history. Worthy of being a destination in its own right, it also provides a great base to discover Bright, Yackandandah, Milawa (cheese and mustard!), and many other spots in great wine country.
Plenty of options for good coffee, food and exploration. You can hire bikes to ride around town or further afield.

We did a Tour de Vines cycle tour and loved it. Beechworth is a thriving town with lots of things to do and see. People were super friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back to stay here again. Great wineries in the surrounding areas and very picturesque.

We enjoyed the tours of the Old Beechworth Gaol and Billson’s Brewery the most. The pizzas at Bridge Road Brewery were also enjoyable as were their craft beers. We had lunch at the Beechworth Bakery (although they need to improve their efficiency in serving toasted sandwiches). The Stanley Hotel is also worth a visit - the Asian-inspired food is delicious. Excellent cycling paths too.

The history of Beechworth and the available tours (quite cheap) were informative and the guides were knowledgeable.
Bridge Road Brewers (beer brewery) and Bilsons (cordials, gins, whiskeys and beers) were great to visit and tastings were free at Bilsons and suitable for the whole family (cordials are great for the kids).
The bike trail goes around the lake and there are interesting areas to stop.

Great location. Met at the front office by the delightful Fiona who was accommodating, friendly and hospitable. Check in was a breeze and our room was a pleasant surprise. Parking was easy and with the added bonus of a swimming pool this hotel was a little gem of a surprise. Great location being literally less than a minutes walk to the epicentre of Beechworth. Will definitely be staying again if we are ever back in the area.
Gorgeous historical building, furnished in keeping with the era plus beautifully maintained outside areas. Loved the linen and comfy beds. It is conveniently located in the CBD of Beechworth.
Owners Heidi and Jim were very welcoming and provide the highest level of service. They gave us excellent information about the region and places to visit. Breakfast was is so delicious and generous.
Stayed here for 3 nights, the hotel is very well maintained with a luxury feel to it, standard double room was small but serviced daily. The hotel is walking distance from the town center though the walk back to the hotel is all up hill. All staff were lovely, Their restaurant was closed during the stay period. The grand oaks and surrounding area is beautiful.
The location is really terrific. It's close to hotels, restaurants and shopping. You can easily walk to tea Rooms, Pie Shops and tourist attractions like the Beechworth Jail. The trees and street scape surrounding the motel are gorgeous. We visited in the summer, but the autumn would be splendid.
Lovely little hotel where the hosts make an effort to make you feel welcome. Great facilities and while a little bit out of town it's a lovely and easy walk in.
