A great long weekend destination. There is much to see and do within the township, and there are many beautiful drives in the surrounding areas. Cafes, restaurants, and wineries are in abundance, and most are of a high quality. There is much to enjoy in this region!
Such a sweet little town. There are plant of places to eat with great food. Lots of local beers and ciders to please most people. Quaint shops. Definitely can't go past the sweets shop, I recommend the chocolate coated strawberries or the fudge! The Asylum!!! Yes, you MUST go! There are also some nice stops with in short driving distances. Woolshed Falls, definitely worth a visit for a swim. Yackandandah for nice pies!
A slide into 19th century architecture, great. Local honey and craft beer on top of their game. Pub grub and service could do with a scrub up, check out what is available / compare other country Victorian locations. Guessing comes down to the chef/cook.
A charming little town with lots and lots to do. The honey and apple juice were total stand out highlights. We had a beautiful and memorable dinner at Tanswells Commercial Hotel- eating beside a lovely crackling fire. We had such a romantic stay here. Hope to visit again.
We spent two days in Beechworth and were never bored.Plenty of gold rush and bushranger and agricultural related tourist activities and sites both in town and locally. There are a number of smaller towns nearby worth visiting while using Beechworth as a base A number of nice pubs with fire places are in town and there are some really good eating places. One of these worth noting is the Wine bar and Tapas restaurant called the Pressroom which is really good. In summary ...Beechworth is a great place to visit.
Beechworth is a lovely historical gold town with so much to see and explore. Many pleasant drives on the outskirts of town and the views are lovely. Best Pizza ever at Beechworth Pizza Place. The township itself is very easy to navigate with lots of informative tours, old jail etc.

Foxgloves is outstanding. We were surprised with the genuine friendliness and hospitality. It felt like we were staying in a homely, yet impressively artistically decorated environment. The perfect escape to the country. If you love history and want to wake up in the world of yesteryear, this is the place for you. The breakfast was lovingly prepared. It was a real Anne of Green Gables moment. Be sure to walk everywhere, Beechworth is lovely.

Garry and Jill provided warm hospitality and a cosy stay for us. Everything was comfortable and the fire was going in the lounge room upon our return from an excellent dinner at a local hotel that Garry had recommended. Home made blackberry jam and home made trifle of yoghurt, muesli and fresh fruit were a delicious start to our day of travelling homeward.

Our one bed self catering unit was well laid out and felt roomy despite the small size. The bathroom was small but adequate and the kitchen area good. A two seater couch and small dining table and chairs provided all that we needed for out one night stay. We would like to return to lovely Beechworth and would be happy to stay here again.

Absolutely everything. It’s a little slice of heaven in one of Victoria’s most beautiful areas. Loved that it was off the beaten track - very quiet and peaceful. I can’t rave enough about how much I loved it. The staff are fantastic and so helpful. The apartment was superb and fully self contained. I definitely plan on going back.

So close to the downtown but away from the noise, has a nice atmosphere for a motor inn. We stayed in a family room and it was very comfortable. It was bit noisy on the single bed next to the door but clean, comfortable beds. The reception was extremely helpful, gave us recommendations where to eat and explore in the area.

The hotel is beautifully presented, while keeping its heritage history. Much to explore around the hotel itself in the grounds. Beautiful little restaurant.

The Graces exemplifies the three Greek deities from whom it takes its name. It is gracious without being fussy: hospitable without smothering. The rooms are airy: great big windows in each and 2 and 4 had fireplaces (nonworking, I imagine) with truly beautiful mantlepieces. Beechworth is a lovely town with much history, worth spending weekend. Alas, we had but one night.
