What wasn't there to like? Jody was the most kind and generous host. We felt at home and she was always super helpful with any questions we had. The property itself is set on the most beautiful land - lush and green and right by the river. The house itself had many parts we could enjoy as a family and also the kids absolutely loved it. The deck was perfect for our morning Yoga and for our BBQ catch ups. Loved the chicken coop that the kids could feed scraps to, and also the gardens were so expansive - perfect for family soccer, easter egg hunts and hide and seek! Jodie had some fantastic recommendations of nearby places to visit and we also organised an amazing at-home masseuse for the ladies (which I highly recommend). The beauty of the stay is that Jodie and her partner run an amazing Canoe business from the side of the property so the entire family could also organise our own canoe adventure from our place. It was magical. I would highly, highly recommend the Bellingen Converted Cottage to anyone considering staying in Bellingen!

Bruce and Sonja were lovely host. Great communication. They put in the extra effort and detail with a welcoming hand written card, with bubbles, cheese and crackers and milk in the fridge on arrival. The accomodation was so peaceful and private, the outdoor bath topped it off. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The location was close to town, a couple of minutes drive, however it did not seem so as the home was surrounded by nature. Beautiful views of the mountains. Highly recommend.

I loved bellingen. even on a rainy day it was wonderful to...

I loved bellingen. even on a rainy day it was wonderful to wander around the main street. food and coffee offerings were first class, and the range of shops was very good. Physical surroundings very attractive (even on a rainy overcast day).

I have been visiting Bellingen since the 1970s and it has...

I have been visiting Bellingen since the 1970s and it has gone through many changes. We have family in the area. It became a trendy town and had a number of interesting shops and eating places. It still has that feel but not as much as 5 years ago. Still worth a visit.

After 4 days in Sydney we were looking for some down time...

After 4 days in Sydney we were looking for some down time and Bellingen fit the bill. A funky small town with good restaurants, nice shops, good scenery locations within a 45 minute drive and even a nice 18 hole golf club with available club rentals, basic but adequate. Just good fun.

There was nothing we didn't love about our small break in Bellingen, the property was almost perfect, the town was beautiful. Highlights; swimming on Bellingen River Urunga and Dangar Falls. Shopping in Bellingen!!!

I just love Bellingen.

I just love Bellingen. Feel in love with the place when I first visited in 2021 and have been back every year every since. Amazing nature and hippie town feel. Love Zaatar for Middle Eastern and Habitat for Matcha.

Beautiful little cottage with alot of privacy and a great location with it being a five minutes drive from Bellingen town. Agnes was very welcoming and even went to the effort of providing some complimentary food and wine which was greatly appreciated. The outdoor bath and walk in showers were amazing and set the mood for a romantic getaway. 100% we will be returning again for a longer stay as this was our favourite place we have stayed at so far. 10/10.

We loved that the location of Guest House on Hyde was in walking distance to all of Bellingen shops, cafes and restaurants Yet once you were on the property it was tranquil and away from towns bustle. Beautiful clean rooms with lovely garden view and nice ensuite. We had a lovely breakfast prepared by Wendy every morning that we were there, served on a private verandah. I felt relaxed and rejuvenated after our wonderful stay at Guest House on Hyde

We stayed in the Bower chalet for 2 nights - the views were lovely, the chalet was clean and well-equipped, and the bed was super comfy. It is in a stunning location - only a few minutes away from the Never Never River and a 10-15 minute drive from Bellingen. The chalet was very tastefully decorated with plenty of places to sit and relax both inside and outside, and we loved the morning sun that streamed through the floor to ceiling windows!
