This was quite a strange stay. Attempting to check in at 5pm, we found right next to the sign stating reception was open from 8am - 8pm, another saying reception was closed and we should call for assistance. Then another intending guest appeared, having a very focused conversation with the missing reception staff about why they were absent, and that he'd waited 20 minutes for them to arrive, after being told it would be 2 minutes. He eventually left in high dudgeon and the reception staff soon appeared - and walked straight past my wife, without a word of apology or explanation, before taking up position behind the desk.
The rooms themselves are very large, and well back from the highway frontage. However, the layout is a little bizarre: A fairly functional kitchenette probably once housed the table and chairs now found in the entrance way. No longer - a large spa bath has taken their spot - just adjacent the sink and benches! Why is it not in the quite large bathroom, say where the double shower is found??
The bed was enormous and unusually comfy, and there was a quiet and modern split system to provide heating (needed due to limited bedcovers and no electric blankets. Conversely, it featured only 1 bedside lamp.
On checkout around 9am, we again found the sign at reception indicating that no-one was available. However, a key box was an adequate substitute.
Overall, I'm surprised that the Quality Inn people haven't had a word to the hosts. They don't seem to be naturals at hospitality.

Room was good. Not sure if it was that cheap but I didn't really shop around.
Restaurant looked nice but we didn't eat there. Seemed a bit pricey for us.

Loved the space, quietude, polite drivers, no major traffic issues, friendly inhabitants, heritage, arts district. I found some really great cafes dog friendly and full of character. Found parking in the CBD Coles car park convenient for free parking with easy access to best CBD has to offer. Coming from Sydney I was chuffed there was Endotta Spa, Blue Illusion, Katmandu to name a few I wasn’t expecting to find necessarily. Apart from walking CBD easily I had to drive everywhere else for quick and easy movement between areas.

Beautiful and historic.
Beautiful and historic. Some magnificent old-style houses in hidden-away streets, beautifully restored. One had the most perfect hedge I have seen anywhere! Great food (I recommend Lake View Hotel on McCrae St). The nearby Lake Eppalock is serene.

The friendliness of the locals was just amazing. Has an exceptional art gallery and many historic buildings that are well worth a visit. The historic tram trip is a good start to get orientated to the city. Our trip was too short suggest staying more than 2 nights to enjoy the sights.

Although we have been previously we only spent a day there this time and there is so much to do and see there we should have stayed a week.
The Chinese museum and garden is a must see.
There are many restaurants and Bars in town.
Sundays are very quiet so skip that day unless your booked in to a theater show which they seem to have all the time.
The gold mine is really worth seeing and a tram ride is a must.
They often have special events. during our stay Bendigo put on a light show in the Gardens and they had a Paris exhibition both of which we missed due to time.
Old churches galore and if you a collector there are a lot of Antique shops in town

Bendigo is a fabulous location for a family trip.
Bendigo is a fabulous location for a family trip. There is plenty for the whole family to see and do in Bendigo. We enjoy visiting the historical sites and learning more about the gold rush. Many sites are in easy walking distance of each other meaning we barely used our car to get around. Bendigo is also very central for visiting other areas.

Bendigo is a beautiful town with a wonderful variety of eateries to enjoy.
Bendigo Gallery has wonderful exhibitions. Bendigo has so many things to explore. and its history needs to be appreciated. A wonderful town.
Had a great long weekend at Neat Retreat. Immaculately clean with lots of thoughtful touches and very comfy beds. Warm and cosy. Has a fully equiped modern kitchen, although we didn’t use it much. Close enough to walk into the centre of Bendigo to experience the history, architecture, art and great dining options. We also visited the local Brougham Arms hotel which does an excellent dinner.
Our stay could not have been better. The quiet street and block out blinds meant we slept well and feel relaxed and rested. Highly recommended!!
Very clean and great value for a 2 bedroom motel accomodation. Room facilities included 2 televisions, wifi, plenty of towels and pillows, toaster, microwave, kettle, tea and ‘decent’ Mocona coffee!
I stayed overnight with my elderly mum while we visited a relative at Bendigo Health. Only 10 minute walk to the hospital and close to the city centre. Dinner at the Lakeview hotel next door to the motel was lovely. Friendly and helpful motel manager😊
My recent stay at Bendigo All Seasons was absolutely outstanding. From the moment I arrived, the hotel staff provided a warm welcome and attentive service. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities. The bistro was excellent, offering a diverse menu of delicious dishes. The staff provided exceptional service and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Good old fashioned customer service with a smile. Highly recommended.
We stayed in a budget double room (not in the newly constructed main part of the hotel) which was spacious, comfortable and clean. There was ample off street parking. The former motel room was completely adequate and we would stay again. The hotel is also located opposite Weeroona Lake and only a short drive into Bendigo town centre.
