Bendigo Has Become a Thriving Cosmpolitan Regional City two hours from Melbourne. Dining The Arts, Accommodation, and Local attractions all come together to provide a welcome getaway from city life, even during the colder months. There is always something happening in town, or at the many nearby wineries or other town centres. Well worth a look.
We visited Bendigo to see the Elvis Exhibition which was great. We also ate in some lovely pubs and cafes and walked through the incredible parks. Bendigo is a very arty city and there were so many examples of art in the parks and art galleries, etc. There were also local bands playing which was so good to see! The architecture is so beautiful, and calls you back to the history of Bendigo from gold rush days. You could spend weeks in Bendigo, there is so much to see there and in nearby country towns. And the churches are incredible. Bendigo is a real gem!
Really enjoyed the Elvis exhibition and our meal at the Khong Dynasty Chinese Restaurant, great service. Enjoyed the tourist tram, which commenced from outside our motel. Bendigo is central to other golden triangle location so is well suited to day trips.
Great regional city, easy to navigate by foot and plenty to do. Lots of green spaces, well thought out gardens and museums and galleries. Some wonderful places to eat and drink with indoor and outdoor seating. The Elvis - direct from Graceland exhibition was excellent and really well curated. Also enjoyed the Golden Dragon Museum and learning about the history of Bendigo.
I found Bendigo great to visit, however I did find it a bit confusing to find places I wanted to visit. Maybe more signage or information boards around, maybe out front of petrol stations or popular fast food restaurants? I found the place quite clean and traffic moved smoothly.

Beautiful estate to stay at in bendigo. Trip was cut short due to covid but had a fantastic night there. Exceptional hosts with a warm, relaxing and luxurious stay. This place is a must stay if you’re visiting the area. Nothing like conventional hotels, has the vibe of a high end European luxury hotel. Beautiful rooms within the estate to sit around and enjoy the provided port while reading, relaxing and playing the piano. Everything from the linen to breakfast to toiletries is high end. Will be back!!

Came for the Elvis exhibition (must see by the way) and had booked a king room at the Oval Motel not expecting to be staying in THE King Room. The level of commitment to theming the room was next level and an unexpected but lovely surprise. Staff were wonderful, you can SMS for beers which is genius and it was literally 5 minutes to the exhibition and then a short walk further into town to explore all the amazing food and sights that Bendigo has to offer.

The property was immaculate and thoroughly stunning in its presentation. It's location for the central amenities of Bendigo is beyond compare. The provisions within the property are all that you could possibly need for a lovely and relaxing stay. Bed's linens are of excellent quality. All needs are totally catered for. Terry also provided excellent instructions on property access.

We loved the fact that this hotel had it's own bistro which meant we could just walk out our door and straight in to have dinner. The food was amazing as were all the staff at both the hotel and the bistro. We were a party of 10 and we all enjoyed our stay. We will definitely book here again if staying in Bendigo in the future.
Bendigo
No parking even though after enquire, I was assured there was parking, yes you could park there, but as it was a public holiday I wasn’t going to get my car out for two days, not very good, I had to park blocks away, toilet seat was broken, no hair dryer, no extra blankets, not a pleasant experience. Shot
