Loved it there, close to beach and coffee/shops including a Deli and Bottleshop. BBQ in the hotel was good and everyone really friendly and helpful. Vodafone reception was non existent but hotel WiFi was good.
Love Blueys beach but not the best choise with a dog as it's national park everywhere. The one coffee shop that was open had too many people outside we didn't feel comfortable walking through lots of people so didn't have a coffee. The club was great exelant covid plan.
Very clean sandy, not many rocks on the beach. Surf was up due to storm, waves more suited to surfing than swimming but it is winter. Parking could be a problem in summer. A few cafes for eating but restricted due to covid, take away would be advisable. Larger shopping centres at Foster approx 30 mins drive. Plenty of national parks with walking trails, walks around the lakes but check as many not for disabled, Board walk at Foster suitable for wheel chairs. Surrounding roads need some repair work. Lots of small beaches, rainforest, lakes, whale watching cruises, boat hire for lakes to see dolphins, surf lessons, bird watching, walking, swimming, sailing or lazing on one of the many beautiful beaches.
Beautiful area, modern but with an old school nostalgia of non commercialised beach side village of the 80s. Plenty of other beaches and bays in short driving distant! Relaxation and family friendly area.
Loved the long beach and the fact there are so many beaches is easy reach. You need a car to get around and sunset over the lake is stunning but watch out for the Kookaburra's who are just waiting to snatch your snacks
We went off season, mid week. Loved no crowds, peaceful. All beaches in area are gorgeous. Lake scenery and sunset from Elizabeth Bay Rec club was fabulous. So easy to drive around. Didnt take us long to drive to Tuncurry, great lunch on deck at Hamiltons oyster bar by lakeside afternoon relax- ideal not too expensive, and you dont need to overdress.
Helpful, friendly staff. Not a big complex so quite private. Close to amenities and beach.
Great location, spacey and very clean and maintained well
