Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court, Club Wyndham Seven Mile Beach, Trademark Collection by Wyndham offers a peaceful retreat just 5 minutes’ walk from the beachfront. The facilities were great, the rooms were a good size, everything was well looked after.
Set among rows of vines and olive groves, Riversdale Estate offers self-contained cottages with views of the water and surrounding countryside. Hobart Airport is only a 10-minute drive away. location: on the edge of the vineyard, winery and restaurant nearby and Peter Rabbit Garden (which I didn't visit, yet)
Mount Rumney Escapes - 1h Haven Horse House is located in Mount Rumney and offers barbecue facilities. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen including a gas stove and a full size refrigerator. It’s clean, extremely comfortable and super quiet. Wi-Fi was banging! the views from Mt Rumney are spectacular. Now having said all of that remember that you are staying on a farm. There are animals and all the stuff needed to take care of them so you may see a pile of fencing material or farm equipment. I’ve stayed in cottages in the middle of vineyards that weren’t half as comfortable, welcoming and worth the value as this property. I arrived early and the host welcomed me with no issues. If you want a great place to stay without all the fru-fru I would highly recommend this property.
Liked nearness to the airport, cleanliness, restaurant. Not impressed with the $5 parking, and how guests learn about it. We ate at the Travelodge restaurant, which was great. Not easy to get around, especially in peak hour. Difficult to navigate the roads and find the airport if you are unfamiliar with the roads, even with GPS.
Went for drive to beach before returning hire car, lovely. Cambridge is typical airport suburb, never saw any restaurants or looked for them, we were there for overnight stay in good accommodation before catching early flight.
Loved the views, a very private spot overlooking the valley. Too far from shops though - be prepared with own food and drinks. No coat hangers at all. If you wanted to wash clothes you need to have your own laundry liquid etc. dryer wasn’t working. The Zoodoo zoo and Richmond are 16km away and really worth seeing.
There are quite a few good quality vineyards and farms open to the public so there is plenty to experience - food, wine, cheeses, chocolate and fine dining. There is a radio telescope open by appointment with a museum. It is close to Richmond and convenient to Zoodoo and Bonorong wildlife park.
Rogers' cottage was nicely set up with all that we needed. Comfortable, warm and beautiful view. A quiet and relaxing location. Very handy location between airport, Richmond and Hobart, car required. Dinners need to be planned as restaurants are in Hobart (20mn drive). A welcome hamper for our breakfast since we arrived late would have been nice and also samples of their olives and their wine. Enjoyed walking on the estate. Had a great time.
The location so close to the airport, yet surprisingly without any jet noise, was perfect for our early departure and rental car return the next day. A gas station, and car wash adjacent to the parking lot and large rooms for repacking our two weeks of camping gear allowed us to clean up and reorganize and thus relax for our last evening in Tassie. We also enjoyed the good food provided by the on site restaurant- some of the best value and quality we found during our two weeks on the island.
We were there mid week and there is no where to get food at all where you are staying.....you have to drive to Richmond town to the hotel 15 or 20 minutes drive.... the food was good there.
near to airport .in time can reach to airport.
