Cobar Caravan Park, hotel in Cobar

Featuring barbecue facilities, Cobar Caravan Park is located in Cobar. With a garden, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom.

We arrived after hours and were impressed at the ease of collecting keys, and the directions to our cabin, provided in the office outside wall safe - as per advice messaged to me. The cabin was nice and comfortable. As we arrived in 40 degree heat, the aircon effectiveness was appreciated. Clean facilities and comfy bed. Quiet, too, even though the park is on the main road.

The best was the history of Cobar.

The best was the history of Cobar. We enjoyed the historical park adjacent to the motel. We brought our own food . Cobar is very easy to get around. Although we're not all that young we enjoyed walking around town.

Cobar was a surprise. Didn't realise it was a mining town.

Cobar was a surprise. Didn't realise it was a mining town. Lots to see and do. The lookout turned out to be a view of the working mine from above. Amazing! Recommend going there. The town itself was quaint. The Miners Park really interesting. Cobar Mining Monument lights up at night. Great pictures! We stayed at the Caravan Park. Very neat and tidy. Would not recommend the Budget Cabins. Too small and needing lots of maintenance. Staff lovely though. We just had overnight stay. Probably could of done with another night there

Great place, spotlessly clean, excellent bedding well presented, lovely clean towels also well presented. Lovely shower with free toiletries slso free milk & biscuits, plenty of tea, coffee & hot chocolate. Definitely 4* quality. Wasn't much to do in the town as we arrived late and unfortunately the recommended Thai restaurant was closed for refurbishment

The motel was clean and fresh.

The motel was clean and fresh. The room was much bigger than expected with all the ammenities we needed. The bowling/golf club was an easy walk for dinner (delicious and great value for money). I would recommend The Oasis to anyone.

    Hotel undergoing renovations of rooms.

Hotel undergoing renovations of rooms. Room was adequate for the purpose of my stay. Renovations not very well executed...workmanship was a bit shabby. Shower recess wasn't sealed and water came through and wet whole bathroom floor. Cleanliness was ordinary...carpet wasn't vacuumed, bathroom vanity not wiped down adequately. New bar attached to hotel had just opened...had a decent menu...pizza was very good! Eftpos surcharge on hotel booking and all bar purchases...thumbs down.

We loved the Miner's Heritage Park, which is beautifully designed and thought provoking. Everyone we met in the community was friendly and welcoming. We ate a steak at the Empire Hotel-it was perfectly cooked and an extremely generous serving size.

The newly renovated room with the best shower rose with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Walking distance to the Cobar Bowling club which has a great bistro. If staying in warmer weather there is a pool and adjacent to it is a covered BBQ area with excellent facilities. The ground level room 2 was good for access especially if you have heavy luggage.

Friendly staff, clean room with lovely bright LED lighting, nice hot shower and warm aircon. This is a great place to stay when driving long distances. Would happily stay here again. Cobar is a great town with plenty of mining history, well worth spending some time in town to learn about it's history.

Clean room, well equipped kitchenette. The hotel is not too far from the main street, so you can easily walk down for dinner in a local pub. Reception was nice and gave some tips about the town
