Dubbo has heaps of food options and a few good historic places to visit. We wanted to go to zoo, but it rained, so will do that another time. West View was a great park to stay. Lovely host and comfy cabin/rooms. We came in pretty tired and hungry, so just grabbed McDonalds and went back to room and chilled.

Dubbo is a great place to visit, with the Taronga Western Plains Zoo the main attraction. While we visited to see family mainly, members of the family did check out the zoo and other attractions. The town is easy to navigate and has all the features of larger cities. We had some great takeaway as well.

2 to 3 days to visit the zoo(2 Days), and an extra day for everything else, do go the RFDS museum it's very good. Try Club Dubbo for food(highly recommend). The Ninja playground in front of it is awesome. Climb up and down hill to make up for those pub meals on holidays.

The city/town is lovely to visit especially with the zoo and restaurants. However, the whole experience was ruined by the manner in which the hotel managed its business. It was as though there was absolutely no interest in us as guests as the staff seemed alienated from its core purpose. The design of the interior concerned us as there was a myriad of passageways much like a maze. The fire exits were confusing and left a lot to be desired.

Dubbo was a great family trip!

Dubbo was a great family trip! (My partner completely disagrees however..) We could have stayed for longer, the observatory was incredible, Peter Starr still ran the night sky tour even though it was just our family booked. I can’t believe the things we saw through the telescope there! Nebulas, star nurseries, things outside the Milky Way, stars that look like one to the eye and then are actually 3 stars! The zoo was great too - highly recommend the golf cart hire, the kids definitely enjoyed that more than the animals. But the animals were also great and feeding the giraffes was a highlight - I had no idea they had so much personality! The coffee in town was good too lots of cafes to choose from…. We didn’t do the dining scene proud as we had domino’s and subway for dinner but at least the kids were fed!

The zoo pass covers two days and it’s great to be able to exit the zoo and come back again so we could go get lunch and come back later in the day for when the lions were right at the glass screens! Great value for money. The old Dubbo gaol is very small and very over priced for what it has to offer and the short amount of time it takes to see it all.

The location is great as we planned for the Dubbo zoo. It is newly renovated, so all are new and mostly in good conditions. For the price that they charge - 5 stars. We stayed 2 nights and the room was tidy up after the first night. Honestly didn’t expect that at this price point! Well done!! Have Netflix and Stan as well!

Super clean and convenient location for our family of four overnight stay, only a short drive to Western Plains Zoo and Dubbo Gaol, directly across the road from take away restaurants and five minutes from Woolworths. Friendly staff, comfy beds, great amenities - highly recommend and we would not hesitate to stay again.

Judy was super friendly. She was happy to have our dog stay with her while we visited the Dubbo zoo which was very convenient for us. The communal area was fully equipped to self cater and full of activities for the kids.
