Located in a waterfront location within Freycinet National Park, this lodge offers secluded cabins in a coastal bush setting, 2 restaurants and a bar. Buffet breakfast is included. EVERYTHING! Staff were so nice and room (cabin) was lovely. wished I could have stayed longer.
Nestled within thick forest next to Mount Paul and surrounded by a National Park, Freycinet Resort offers private and luxurious accommodations with 360-degree views of The Hazards, Friendly Beaches,... Very lovely loft with an amazing view. Just bad that we cannot cook in it. Lovely staff and very good breakfast included
Located within 27-acres of bushland, in the heart of the Freycinet Peninsula, Edge of the Bay Resort offers direct access to 3 private beaches. Free WiFi and free parking are provided. The views of the bush, water and the Hazards from the cabin and decking were fantastic. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and fitted out with every-thing that you would need. Very peaceful and beautiful location.
Eagle Peaks at Freycinet has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Coles Bay, a 5-minute walk from Sandpiper Beach. We arrived a little early, not a problem, Emily met us and explained the (simple) details of the apartment. The views were dramatic as there was a storm on the bay. Large, comfortable room with all the mod cons.
Located in the heart of Coles Bay on Jetty Road, Pebble Shack provides stunning panoramic views of the Freycinet National park and the Hazards. Immaculate presentation (all areas of the property were very clean and very good amenities were provided), exceptional location (magnificent and genuine view of The Hazards from the property, a couple of minutes walking distance to convenience store and cafe), very friendly and helpful hosts who respond very quickly and effectively to guest concerns.
While familiar with Coles Bay from childhood holidays, we were only there one night en route to elsewhere this time. Drizzly, spitting rain when we arrived, with low cloud, which progressed to steady, heavy rain overnight, so not much scenery visible! But from prior experience it’s a beautiful area with lots to do if you enjoy hiking, nature or beaches. Would’ve liked to revisit some childhood memories, but at over $40 to enter the National park, it wasn’t worth it just to drive around for an hour or so. I get the whole user-pays concept, and if we were there for a whole day & the weather was good we would’ve invested in a pass, but it was disappointing there wasn’t a cheaper option.
Coles Bay is a beautiful place to stay and visit. We have been twice and would definitely go again and again. It's a great place if hiking and sight seeing is your thing but also a wonderful place to go and relax, read and just soak up the views.
The best activity in Coles Bay is the Wineglass Bay Cruise. We had a wonderful day out, nice lunch, great host and managed to see dolphins, seals and a humpback whale. They even lengthened our trip so we could see the whale. Loved it
We had planned to spend time at the beach, and had also booked in for kayaking and a scenic flight. The weather turned bad so we had to cancel all of these things which was a shame. We did the hike to wineglass bay and although it was mostly fogged out it was still beautiful. If the sun had been shining Im sure we would have wanted to stay longer in this spot its a beautiful part of Tassie.
We have been here before. Beautiful beaches abound and nice walks. But this time we decided to take the cruise into wineglass bay. Not a good plan. The sea was a bit choppy and the whole family got sick!. Definitely not doing any cruise any time soon. Sceneries were magic though. Would love to stay longer for walks and beaches. Oh we found a great place for pizzas.
Coles Bay is a great place to visit with its amazing walks and scenery. Pennicott Wine Glass Bay boat cruise is a fantastic trip! walking to Wine Glass Bay is a must to experience the unique granite mountains and formations, the wild life and magnificent views and bush. Also the beautiful granite sand on Wine glass bay and the many other beaches. The light house is a brilliant place for a magestic view into WIne Glass Bay and out into the Ocean. If you are lucky you can see whales from this lookout and there are stationary binoculars to look through. There are many other walks which are all amazing. Pack your gear and go!
Coles Bay is the best place for easy access to the Freycinet NP. There is no better views of the Hazards than from the lounge and bedroom of this house. Totally knock your socks off stunning. The house is clean, modern and HUGE to the point of feeling a bit sterile. Very clean and ,modern if you like that vibe. Bed in master bedroom is so comfortable and the view from the giant bath is perfect.
Everything we required and more was provided. Kitchen was well stocked with more applicances than we have had at other rentals. The Library and games provided in the toilet area was an interesting extra. Fantasic view from the balcony with the option of using a barbeque or pizza oven to cook our own meals. Equipment and products for cleaning were made available if they were needed.
Magnificent views of The Hazards. A great location and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants at Coles Bay. A very good base for discovering Freycinet NP. Reasonably stocked with kitchen equipment and necessities. We made good use of the veranda.
The unit was very comfortable and roomy. The view was beautiful and a great place to be especially when we were unit-bound because of rain. It is very close to Coles Bay and all the facilities there - especially the ice cream shop!!
Excellent location in Coles Bay, stones throw from Freycinet and backing onto the shop and pub. Cabin was massive and very very well equipped with full kitchen, lounge and super comfy beds. Wish I'd stayed longer!
Everything was perfect!!! The view was absolutely amazing!!! It was close to Coles Bay (not walking distance) and a beautiful beach.... I will definitely stay again but for longer. I highly recommend this property!!!
Very new and comfortable accommodation. Provided a baby cot on request and had everything we needed including a washing machine. Staff responded quickly to messages. Only 8 mins out from the main strip in Coles Bay.
It was fine for 2 people and the bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. We didn't use the ensuite but It had a great shower in the other bathroom. Overall Coles Bay is a great place to visit.
Everything about the stay was great. Emily was extremely friendly and the studio apartment was amazing. We loved the view, and the proximity to Coles bay was good for visiting the surrounding area.
Lovely quiet cabin to stay in during our time at the beautiful Freycinet! Comfy beds and well equipped kitchenette. Ros and family were friendly and gave us recommendations for the local area.
Close to cafes, town centre. Short drive to hotel and shops. Great location for Wineglass Bay walks and Frecinet National Park. Great amenities. Warm and clean.
Larger than expected, with a separate kitchen/lounge/dining. Great location, only minutes drive Freycinet National Park.
