Crescent Head is a fabulous town to holiday in. We have been holidaying in Crescent Head since the mid 70s. It has changed a lot over the years, a few good coffee shops and club and tavern serving good food and clothing shops, post office, news agent, butcher, baker. We graduated from staying large tents in the caravan park to staying in cabins and now renting a house when we stay for extended time.
We love the pristine beach at Crescent Head with the cafe at the beach for breakfast and lunch. We love walking up the spit to see the whales and watch the golfers on one side and surfers on the other. Beautiful views across the bay. Sadly it was very windy when we were there. It is important to choose your accommodation wisely so that you have a lovely spot to retreat to when the wind comes up. The restaurants are limited and close early.
Great walking environment, too cold at this time of year for swimming but we enjoyed watching the surfers. Can highly recommend Pandanus as a restaurant -great food lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
Friendly east coast Aussie town with great surf and lovely vibe. The beach is just a few hundred metres from the town centre and its shops. The sunset watching the surfing was gobsmackingly beautiful. I’d recommend staying a while here to soak up the relaxed feeling of Crescent Heads.
Crescent Head is a wonderful location, offering lots of leisurely activities for all holiday makers! We have been coming to Crescent for many years and enjoy our time in this quaint, picturesque beachside location. We look forward to our annual visits. The locals are friendly, the amenities are great and the beach walks are a must for everyone visiting the area. So much to do and most importantly relax and unwind!
Beautiful little town for campers and caravanners. Everything closes at 8pm, so make sure you have your dinner sorted before then. Heaps of potential in holiday times, but most foodie options were pretty bad.
Its an incredible location- right on the end of the apartment block, last one on the river, its a ground floor unit so we could walk straight out to the tables. Crescent head itself is very quiet - mostly tourists, had mixed interactions with the locals. Rude at a coffee shop, friendly at the bakery and I went to yoga with pieta and the class was wonderful. There were so many people going past our accommodation on paddleboards it would have been nice to rent one, but we ran out of time to work out where to do this (if you even can!)
Mignon cottage was perfect for our week beach get away. It was so clean, comfortable and inviting. We felt totally relaxed staying there. The pantry is stocked with various items including some breakfast supplies. One small negative is there are no flyscreens on the windows. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom if gorgeous. Crescent Head is a wonderful place to explore. Thanks Karen
Beds were comfortable, apartment was clean and the kitchen has good amount of knives etc. Locked box system worked well. The location is great. Look one way and you'll find Crescent Head is a cozy, relaxed little village with friendly locals and some nice shops and cafes. Look the other to discover a stunning beach, lake and headland. Great for kids too.
I loved the sinple pleasures of this hotel. All your basics covered in a lovely manner. Pool and bbq area were great. Plenty of space to sit and read or chat. The room was very clean, bed very comfy and had everything we needed. Staff were lovely too - loved that I got a call early to say our room was ready and we could check in whenever we wanted!
Great location proximity to beach and Crescent Head. Quiet position with birds and kangaroos as neighbours, caravan facilities very generous and specious as a “glamping ” option. Owners kindly returned a couple of items we left behind with little fuss, very grateful.
The location and views were exceptional. It was a perfect location for our first time at Crescent Head
It’s a fantastic property in a beautiful rural setting yet close to Crescent Head.
Wow such a wonderful cabin, clean, comfortable and heated, perfect for a winter get away..
