The property was ideal for us. Very central and easy for us to walk around town. It was very cold on the day we arrived and once we worked out the heating system and turned the electric blanket on we were lovely and cosy. We really appreciated all the food that the host provided. We were visiting friends who were having a big party,so didn’t have time to shop. The only downside to the property was no WiFi and poor phone reception. But it wasn’t too much trouble once we got used to it.

Room was very large and extremely cozy. Air conditioner was on on our arrival which was great because it was hot day. There is gas heater in the room as well if you feel cold. Jacuzzi in the room was exceptionally clean and worked well. The view from the room healed my sored eyes used to city views.

It's right smack in the center of town. Quaint, lovely bar downstairs with big spacious rooms upstairs. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the beer was great! I especially loved the sours and the chocolate ale. Bar closes at a certain time, but the staff let us stay abit later, keeping the back door open for us to go up to our rooms. Bathrooms were heated and huge, and the showers had good strong water pressure. Good wifi too.

We were only in Kyneton overnight but walking the streets in...

We were only in Kyneton overnight but walking the streets in the early evening was a delight. The old buildings/architecture had us planning a return ( much longer) visit. For an early breakfast we wandered the streets and found a great ‘locals’ spot, Monsieur Pierre which was yummy and affordable. Both the town and surroundings deserve a few days exploring.

It's very close to Melbourne & these towns get forgotten about now the freeway bypasses most of them. Was really nice to stop off there & Woodend & see how they have developed since we used to drive through them.

Kyneton is such a lovely town, beautiful architecture, and...

Kyneton is such a lovely town, beautiful architecture, and gardens. Great shopping, fab art galleries, lovely friendly people. Plenty of drinking and eating options.Easy to walk round whole town. We ate at the Bowling club, food was ok, nothing fancy but prices were good especially drinks prices.

Kyneton has a lot to offer.

Kyneton has a lot to offer. Good restaurants, excellent museum, proximity to other places of interest, many good coffee shops, fabulous pies and delicious food at Piper Street Food Co. East access from Melbourne.

The best croissants outside of France can be found at GRIST...

The best croissants outside of France can be found at GRIST in Piper Street - a beautiful artisan bakery. They have delicious pastries, pies and quiches - the selection is vast!! The best steak with home-made chips is at The Albion Hotel - red wine and a fire - perfect! Kyneton is a real foodie town and close by is Trentham and Daylesford.

Hotel itself downstairs has good menu, cheerful staff , lots of friendly locals - comfotable cosy decor. Accomodation is called budget but not described well on line - if you stay take your own coffee maker, cup, rubbish bag and toiletries.

Excellent value for money. It was a beautiful hotel; stylishly decorated and very, very clean. The bathrooms were excellent. I was worried about them being shared, but they were spotless. Although it was too cold for me to sit out there on this occasion, the balcony overlooking the street was also very quiet and comfortable. I really rate this place - it was definitely something you’d expect would have a higher price tag, given the comfort, cleanliness and location.

Small and perfectly formed! Had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Just around the corner from the bookshop - a favourite! - and an easy walk to the town centre. A great base to explore Kyneton.

Very convenient and well equipped. Comfortable bed. Good heating (it was a mid winter stay!) Very quiet location, easy stroll to shops, pubs restaurants. Kyneton is lovely!
