Offering free WiFi and free buffet continental breakfast, Alpine Retreat Mt Buller is ideally located for skiing and snowboarding. Warm up after a day of skiing in the indoor pool, sauna or hot tub. So family friendly and the bar/restaurant was relaxing with great prices on food and drinks.
After spending the day skiing, guests can return to the warmth of Mt Buller Chalet Hotel & Suites and enjoy a drink at the bar followed by a meal at Black Cockatoo Restaurant. Free WiFi is available. Location was amazing - right at the start of the chairlifts. The room had so much space with a big kitchen area. The drying cupboard was great. The birdcage restaurant served delicious meals. Customer service was excellent.

Breathtaker All Suite Hotel & Alpine Spa Retreat is located just 262 feet from the Mount Buller Ski Elevators. Hotel staff are top-notch, genuine and went out of their way to help us when my husband fell and fractured his arm. Special mention to Rachel, Anne, Simon and the Hotel Manager who took great care of us from the time of the fall (Day 2) till the end of our stay (Day 5). Rachel made all the calls to get an ambulance to us, despite the late hour. Anne and Simon came to check on how we were doing throughout. Hotel Manager even drove all the way (2 hours drive) to the hospital to pick my husband up after his discharge. All without charge! Such genuine compassion for guests. It really made our trip all the more memorable staying at the Breathtaker with its amazing staff. Thank u!
Featuring a ski shop and a restaurant with a lounge bar, Duck Inn Mt Buller is located just a 5-minute walk from the Mount Buller ski slopes. A free shuttle to the town center is also provided. Free breakfast was a bonus, simple but enough. Staff was friendly. Good space to put snow boards and dry clothes. Comfortable room. Best part was the Drake resturant, we ate here one night, great food.
Peak 105 is located in Mount Buller, a 5-minute walk from Mt. Buller, 18 miles from Merrijig, and 26 miles from Booroolite. - The hosts answered all my questions in a timely manner and were polite. - Key collection was easy and quick. - The place was bigger than I was expecting. - Lots of kitchen utensils available. - Code needed to get into the building and then key for your own room. - Location is only a brief walk from the village square. - There is a blue run literally across the road. - Heaters were able to get the apartment warm fast. - Smart TV with Netflix and YouTube built in. - Board games available. - Nintendo 64 console available. - Personal drying room for snow gear. - Contains washing machine and dryer. - Cosy apartment would definitely come back.
All staff on mountain were happy to help. It’s an expensive holiday with all restaurants serving same food, like burger chips etc. Save money by hiring your ski gear at hotel. Avoid hiring gear from Mansfield as it very expensive
Its a magical wonderland! We love returning to Mount Buller each year during Winter. We certainly missed it during Covid! Mount Buller is just as beautiful in Summer for walks and bike rides, but the magic of winter makes it a must see snow destination.
Would have appreciated an earlier check-in rather than wait till 4.00pm. Also there were a lot of moths in the room. However, the room was comfortable and the facilities provided were good. The breakfast was not that great, at least some scrambled eggs should be added.
We went to mount Buller to continue our holiday of day bush walks. The place was like a ghost town, the people that were there were workers doing major construction work everywhere. Walkers are at the bottom of a long list including skiers, mountain bikers, frisbee golfers and sightseers. Lots of maps but incredibly confusing signage and track network that could prove to be very dangerous. With the prominence of bush walking travel around the world, I think Mt Buller is missing a trick.
We were there for the VDHS mountain bike racing, not much open as its off season for the Snow. Not much open or anything to do which is understandable, however to still charge what they do for a room is a bit greedy especially when you take away your own rubbish with you.
Stunning in summer, weather was perfect. Mountain Biking up there is getting better and better each year. Shuttle bus could run more often as some time wasted waiting for the shuttle each time to do more runs. Its a shame there's not more affordable accommodation there in summer as it makes it unobtainable for some families. more people would stay overnight if they could im guessing as lots of day trippers riding each day. As it becomes more popular in summer I'm sure the mountain will get the balance right. Its only going to get better
The manager communicated well and with a great manner. The hotel was much nicer than photos on website. It was exceptionally clean and the restaurant was comfortable. The staff were friendly. The bed linen was crisp.
Friendly and approachable staff, kid friendly, all food and drink within hotel. The Loft bartender Jesse was amazing, easy to talk to and made fantastic cocktails. The food at the restaurant was delicious!!
