Kookas Retreat is a renovated beach house with a barbecue, set in Mount Martha. The property is 16 mi from Sorrento and free private parking is featured. Fab stay - stayed with a family of 7 adults, loads of room for everyone. The house literally has everything you need - a home away from home. Louise was great to deal with and answered all my questions. We could not have asked for a better rental and amazing value for money especially over Christmas time.
Mount Martha is the perfect location to explore the region. An easy drive back to Mornington and then back out to the seaside towns of Rosebud, Sorrento, etc. Such beautiful scenery and scrumptious places to eat.
We were attending our nephew’s wedding located in Tyabb. There were lots of restaurants/ takeaway available for the remainder of our stay. Being a weekend it was very busy around the vineyards which were great to just “pop into” for fabulous food.
Walking along the beach looking at the beach boxes. Mt Martha itself is a quiet hamlet perfect for relaxation with a few essential shops & cafes. It's a short drive to either Mornington or Dromana for shopping and a greater choice of restaurants. Perfect for a couples escape.
Mt Martha is our favourite beach - great for swimming and close to cafes and shops. The little Indian restaurant at the village served us a terrific meal on the Tuesday night. The IGA is also good with everything one needs on holiday and more. Close to Mornington which is interesting on a Wednesday when the main street has a huge market with many craft etc stalls.
Beautiful beaches, close to many cafe, restaurants, markets. Winery tours, hiking, surfing at the back beaches, safe swimming in the bay. Horse riding, wind surfing or just relaxing Mt Martha and the rest of the Mornington Peninsula has it all.
Mount Martha is a sleepy hamlet which has become a popular holiday destination for families wanting a great, safe beach experience. Swimming, sailing, paddle boarding are all on offer and the beach is easy to access . Beautiful and safe, Mount Martha beach also has quaint and quirky bathing boxes lining the beach providing photo opportunities for photographers. Walking trails lead from the beach into the bush estuary . The cafes, restaurants, clothing and lifestyle shops in the village provide a high standard and variety of food and great coffee. The more practical food, chemist and supermarket ensure that the necessities are also there. As a gateway to Mornington Peninsula wineries and other tourist attractions, Mount Martha also provides a base from which to explore. A shorter drive from Melbourne than Portsea or Sorrento, It is a beach holiday without the headache.
Great location, suitable for family.
