If you want to be removed from the hustle and bustle of typical tourist areas, Rydal is a wonderful location to explore the Blue Mountains. The Old Oak Tree Cottage has everything a traveler could want, plus more. The hosts provided a wonderful assortment of kitchen and bathroom staples. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the electric blanket for the chilly nights. A special treat was the can of bird seed on the patio for morning and afternoon feeding of the birds. We would book there again if we come back to the Blue Mountains.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - the location was serene and the cabin was just like the pictures. Marjory provided excellent hospitality, supplying us with breakfast including croissants and blueberry muffins, as well as a bottle of sparkling wine.

We had a lovely stay as a family with two young kids and our dog. A dog-friendly, secure yard was a top priority for us, and this place delivered—with a fully fenced yard and undercover area. The host was incredibly welcoming and even gifted a toy for our dog—such a thoughtful touch! The kids loved the unique, fun décor throughout the home. It was warm and comfortable with central heating, electric blankets and hot water bottles, slippers provided, and a well-equipped kitchen. Note that off-street parking is via the rear laneway (look out for the beautiful mural on the back gate and you're there!). Highly recommend for a warm, family- and pet-friendly stay!
