Studio aparatment was very comfortable, well thought out and very stylish - beautiful little luxury touches - candle burning - a nice selection of tea / coffee and the breakfast selection very thoughtful ! Will def stay again in the future ....
The hotel was well represented by its staff and within distance to must restaurants etc an easy walk to local RSL although a courtesy bus is also offered. The time we spent was minimal but comfortable and completely affordable
Scone had some great cafe's and boutiques. The surrounding countryside was lovely. We particularly enjoyed Halo cafe and The Cottage restaurant. The Herd store was very nice. We enjoyed trips to Murrurundi.
The town is quite nice. There are two good museums, one of which is dedicated to the 'Walers', the NSW horses that became famous in WW1 in the Middle East, particularly in the 4th Australian Light Horse charge at Beersheba in 1917. There are at least two good restaurants in Scone as well, one of which is rather special. .
My visit to Scone in the beautiful Upper Hunter was a must see for me as I have a keen interest in visiting regional centres in NSW. As a keen supporter of the horse breeding industry I enjoyed a drive past tour of the major studs which are part of the worlds second largest stud scene. The headquarters of the Australian Stock Horse Association Is located here as well as an Equine Research facility. Scone & it’s surrounding countryside is an ongoing tribute to the role the magnificent loyal hardworking horse has played in the development of the entire country.
Scone is a lovely area and very pretty. It is only a 31/2 hour trip from Manly and the roads are very good and mostly freeway. I ate the my accomodation and the restaurant did Thai food as well as normal food , e.g steak, etc. The food was of very nice quality and flavoursome!!!
A small country town in the upper hunter region of NSW is a great place to stop over when travelling, We stayed overnight at Strathearn Park Lodge B&B 3km from town which has beautiful country views and had a nice meal and drinks at the Thoroughbred Hotel.
Booked the room that you showed me I thought. I wàs allocated a room upstairs ln the hotel which had nothing more in it but 2 beds. I went back to reception and told them that it was not what you showed me on your ..website for my booking. I was told by them that I could have a motel room but it would be $105 dollars.Very poor on your part.I wish for you to refund me the extra money I paid. If not I will not ever book through you again. Ronald Pearce
We stayed at the Gunsynd Studio Apartment for one night while traveling north and were very impressed with this little gem in Scone. The space was even lovelier than the photos show and the kitchen was fully stocked with lots of extra supplies that you wouldn’t expect. This stay far exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend it.
A warm welcome, lovely room with private garden, with visits from fairy wrens, galahs and lorikeets. A very nice continental breakfast each morning with fresh fruit, yoghurt and a variety of cereals. Reasonably close drive into town for dinner. We went back twice to the Thoroughbred Hotel for a delicious meal.
We had a room with a spa bath and as this was a road trip to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary it was a very romantic and intimate way to finish our day trips in Scone. The room is large and comfortable with all you can need for an enjoyable stay.
Warm, modern, clean. Very central, very comfortable. Modern appliances. Not much to do on Scone (most things closed) so nice to relax in our apartment. Bed was exceptionally comfortable.
The Scone Bypass has certainly made the town quieter. The Isis is at the southern end of town but is within an easy 10 or 15 minute walk of the main town area and it's facilities.
Inn located in the great location in Scone, quiet street and the room very cosy.
Nice and quiet now the by-pass of Scone is open.
breakfast and dinners were great - thanks
