The accomodation has an air bridge to the Hueon Hill restaurant and this was excellent for our meals it gave my wife a good break and we even entertained friends there with a meal, as a base we enjoyed visits to local attractions and also jumped off to Beechworth, Rutherglen and Yackandandah very easy to travel about from the Quest. A special mention to the house keeping crew very friendly and respectful when we met in the elevator and corridors and they did a great job in keeping our home away from home tidy and welcoming at the end of each day out. The staff from Heuon Hill made us feel a part of the family when we dined there for breakfast and dinner and this is commendable as they are not affiliated with the Quest but are independent. I highly recommend Quest to any considering a brief or extended stay in Wodonga I will be back.😀
We only had two days in Albury Wodonga. A fantastic experience We loved the Albury Botanical Gardens. Our three children loved the children's garden. We took a drive out lake Hume Also a visit to the Hume Damm. We enjoyed driving around both Albury and Wodonga We ate at the local pub bistro just down the road from our motel. We really enjoyed this experience the food was great and reasonably priced .plus if you showed room key you received 10% off.
Feel it is unfair to write a total critique of Wodonga because we arrived late afternoon and were gone mid morning the next day, plus it was New Year's Eve and the place was deserted. Only stopped there to break our journey.
There is so much to see in And around Wodonga. Beechworth is a must it's only 45 kms away and the locals are friendly people who are proud of their town and its history. Coach rides around the town, tours through the now closed gaol, check out the courthouse and Ned Kelly's memorabilia.
Wodongas friendliness and relaxed atmosphere was a welcome change from Brisbane. The weather was beautiful, hot and dry with lovely cool mornings and clear blue skies. The city center was an easy walk from My accomadation with well paved clean a tidy streets and footpaths. The parks and gardens were outstanding and extremely well kept and provided a nice backdrop to the specialty shops. There were no big shopping malls.tye emphasis seemed to be on locally owned and operated small businesses.Wodonga, overall was a great place to unwind and relax.
Difficult to locate proper directions to destination, eg, Army Museum. Town appeared to be too scattered with no proper planning of buildings or shopping area etc. Certainly not found to be easy to travel around, Particularly the shopping centre on main highway.
Host was kind enough to shift our booking a few days earlier after we were unexpectedly evacuated by bushfires from our previous accommodation. This was despite already having family staying at her place. She was a lifesaver who helped us salvage our trip. The breakfast was great and the views wonderful. It was great seeing all the birds and livestock wandering around. Aircon was turned on prior to our arrival so the room was cool on a hot day.
Great friendly family run country pub, spotlessly clean, recently renovated, popular with the locals - very comfortable bed - smack in middle of delightful Yea / great food and service and food and wine list in the hotel bistro / my bike was stored inside the hotel, which has an on-site car park at rear
Location was great. Easy access to the road and close to the small downtown for a quick bite or supermarket stop. The apartment was sparkling clean. Checking in was a bit awkward, but as long as you follow the instructions sent by the hotel via email (not the Booking.com ones), it’s ok.
The hotel doesn’t look too appealing from the outside however rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We arrived in freezing weather and staff had put electric blankets on for us. There is no reception however check in information was clear and easy. Would definitely recommend
Property & rooms are extremely clean & beds are super comfortable! Staff went above & beyond in sourcing a shower chair for my disabled mother, although we were only staying one night. Thank you, this will be amour accomodation of choice for future visits to Wodonga
Amazing service. My daughter was sick and Kath from guest services has accommodated to our request for a very late check out free of charge. This is my second time there for a stop over traveling from Sydney to Melbourne, and it will always be my choice for future travels.
Very Quiet. Comfortable. Very clean accommodation. Friendly helpful staff. Conveniently located to the freeway. A Hotel with a bristro and restaurant straight across the road. Dog friendly. Nice clean small pool.
