We stayed there to visit Tournai. The room and bathroom were spacious and most importantly, clean. The kids had ample space in the room. There was a small kitchen with all necessary stuffs you need, although we did not cook ourselves. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Everything was functioning properly throughout our stay. We also found a parking spot quite easily in front of the hotel. We liked the location of the hotel. From our windows, the view of the cathedral was magnificent, especially when it was dark outside. The French border is right behind the cathedral. Honestly speaking, we did not expect the hotel to be that good, considering the price we paid for it for 4 people. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Melissa. If we ever go back to that region, we will stay there again.

The host at La Glorie de Motte went above and beyond, so helpful, I couldn’t find the hotel in the fading light and he came and met me to guide me to the property along the country road. He had prepared a very tasty evening meal for me as agreed on the phone. Such a wonderful historic building, tastefully restored with period features and furniture. The bed was so comfortable I would have liked to stay longer, the quality of the bedding was very high, cotton sheets. The bathroom had a really good walk in shower with lots of hot water. The breakfast was served at the table with very pretty plates and a China teapot. Really good selection.
