This hotel is an absolute gem! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and complimentary drink, setting a wonderful tone for my stay. My room was stunning, featuring high ceilings, luxurious textiles and room fragrances- everything looked up to the smallest details, even very good sound system via bluetooth. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom felt like a luxurious extension of the room. Breakfast at the hotel was a highlight offering a variety of options to start the day right: from cold dishes at the buffet to the warm choices from the menu. But what truly stood out was the exceptional service. Every staff member was friendly and attentive, making me feel valued throughout my stay. Overall, it’s a perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended!

Small hotel - more of a B&B - in the middle of nowhere. I spent four nights and it was very quiet most of the time. The room was spacious, clean and it had a coffee machine with capsules (provided) and a kettle. There is also a microwave and a minibar. There is an ALDI store just around the corner. Self check-in, more than enough parking places. I particularly liked that there was enough storage space and a decent amount of hangers for clothes (I had several dresses).

A demolished building at the entrance made us wonder if we were in the right place, but as soon as we were through the gates, we could see that we were somewhere exceptional. The building is elegant, the grounds superb, and the public spaces roomy with welcoming decor. It's more of a big B&B rather than a small hotel, but a very good one. I suspect that we had the smallest of the rooms, but we were comfortable enough for our 4 nights. Ter Wallen is an easy walk from the Markt square and the station, so it's a good spot for exploring this part of Belgium, and close enough to some of the historic battlefields for a day trip. Izigem itself is a nice small town, with plenty of spots to enjoy a beer or two. Ter Wallen's breakfast is on the expensive side; we only had breakfast on one morning but it was very good.

The accommodation is a few minutes walk from the centre, in a very quiet and convenient location. The rooms are a good size and clean, also bathroom and the air conditioning was excellent. The owner Carmen was incredibly helpful and stored our bikes in her locked garage just around the corner. Breakfast was also excellent with a large variety and good coffee. All in all it was really enjoyable and we will stay here again next time we visit.! One additional note to add is that the hotel is very bike friendly and that Carmen will wash cycling kit for guests.
