The house was absolutely beautiful — spacious, clean, and very well maintained. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to spend quality time with friends or family. Even though it’s not your own place, it feels so cozy and welcoming that you instantly feel at home! Communication with the host was super easy, and they were always kind and available whenever we needed something.

The hotel was all brand new, top condition. We went there to go to Dour festival which is a 10 min drive away. The hotel had ordered a taxi for us but it was delayed so the manager offered to take us there herself in her own car. Really really good service. The day after the staff served a late breakfast at our room. This place is absolutely amazing and can highly recommend.

The owner was very friendly and accomodating. We were allowed to leave the key in the key box for checkout as we had to leave very very early to get back home in time. He speaks fluent English, which helps a lot because my french is non existent. I felt safe and wish I could stay longer. If I need to sleep over in the area, I'd consider L'Escale again.

We chose this place as a base location to travel around by motorcycles, 30 mins from mons, 30 from Valenciennes and some absolutely gorgeous hidden gems so easily accessible. We didn’t eat at the restaurant due to husbands complex dietary requirements but the room and breakfast was fantastic. The breakfast was set out each morning by a lovely lady who always checked we had everything we needed and cleaned our room each day.
