They were very kind towards our dogs and one staff member even brought them toys! There was a large quite, grassy area for us to take them to the bathroom, I hate taking them out near busy roads and highways so this was ideal

Lots to see but definitely need your own car. You can order a Kari ride, but it gets costly and most of the time you're waiting for a ride. You can order a Kari on demand but it's better to prebook and sometimes you just don't know how long you'll be at one place. Their buses stop at 5ish and only 1 route on Sunday. So plan a trip with either a rental car or plan the majority of places that are within walking distance of your hotel. Loved the Eckhart Mouse scavenger hunt. That was so much fun! Go to Receiver Coffee and try their mocha latte. It was the best mocha we've ever had. And if you can, go to both Anne of Green Gables Musical AND Anne & Gilbert Musical. Definitely worth the cost!!!
Great small city - it is walkable and offers exceptional dining options. Fresh seafood of course but also every variety of ethnic cuisine, tons of vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian options at each restaurant. Stunning beaches and scenic drives. Big local arts scene. Easy to navigate your way around the city and island. Airport is small and efficient, offers on site car rentals. Island offers Turo rentals as well and their version of Uber is called Kari.
Charlottetown had a great range of restaurants for dinner and both that we tried (The Brickhouse and Merchantman) were excellent. We went to the Anne & Gilbert musical which was most enjoyable, and I'm not particularly a fan of musicals! The town has a lovely laid back atmosphere and seemed very welcoming. The active waterfront added to the interest in the town.
I can't explain why but I've always loved Charlottetown. It has a nice vibe, and is a beautiful city. Driving in through rolling farms and sea air is relaxing. We always find good places to eat.
Charlottetown is pretty and well maintained. The people are friendly. We were there for October 3-4 and unfortunately many of the restaurants were closed for the season and some of those that had not closed, did not open on Sunday. Perhaps if the season were extended until, say, Thanksgiving, it would attract more visitors which is what I understand the $100 gift card for the Island is intended to do. It was a lovely surprise for us.
Fantastic little town with lots of character. Numerous places to eat and central to travel anywhere on PEI. Casa Mia is a superb place for breakfast. The Dundee Inn is centrally located and just a few blocks to Victoria Row.
Staff are friendly, helpful and informative and most importantly they care their customers. Location is great, within short walk we can have meals in the downtown area. 24 hours supply of coffee, tea and muffins. You can always find something to eat when you feel hungry. Breakfast is included which is important in winter time as you don't bother to go outside to have breakfast. Hotel room is clean and the bed is comfortable.
The hotel location was very convenient for us to explore this part of PEI. Our room was extremely clean with plenty of space but the room was dark and lacking in atmosphere. We were in a room on the ground floor which was accessed through a banqueting room which was rather an odd setup. The breakfast was buffet style with limited choice but sufficient to set you up for the day.
Charlottetown
This place was such a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is wonderfully located to both park and downtown. It features a super quaint and cozy interior- very charming. The best part about our trip had to be Hanna!! She is such a delight and makes you feel more like a guest staying at a friends home. Already planning our next trip and will be sure to stay again
Charlottetown
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in our two bedroom lower level suite! The location was great - easy for driving out for a day trip to Cavendish and walking distance to the wharf in Charlottetown. We loved the breakfast - the croissants were delicious! It was also really handy that the hotel offered beach towels for guests to borrow. Overall, really fabulous!
Absolutely beautiful ! Loved the grounds , So many beautiful seating areas! The room was modern and very clean, a great size. Bed was extremely comfortable and the location is perfect. We can’t wait to stay there again someday , I truly don’t think I’ll ever stay at another hotel in Charlottetown other than this one. Can’t wait for my next visit !
The Inn (we stayed at the main property, "Fairholm", and booked a standard Queen room) is located in a beautiful authentic heritage house, which is authentically decorated inside. The house is located on its own large grounds, in downtown Charlottetown, which is a unique and special feature of this place.
