We liked that you could stay downtown, walk to the harbour front, see the sites, people and restaurants. So much to see and do, and so very walkable. Also liked that you can take a bus to downtown and it only costs $4.25. Amazing.
Favourite spots- Harbour front, Marine Museum — so much history I was not aware of. We ate at McKelvies, the Bicycle Theif and Lunette Cafe.

Just love it. Love the vibe.
Just love it. Love the vibe. Love how when I was out at a restaurant people were actually engaged with their families and friends and NOT on their phones! it just seemed so chill and happy! I felt well there, not stressed. .just walked (or danced) around with a great big smile on my face!
You can walk everywhere. hilly, but doable. Boardwalk by the harbour is a hub of great restaurants, ice cream, lobster rolls and people just enjoying themselves. happy, happy Halifax!

Biased since we lived in Halifax before, but great city were it is very easy to live, thanks to the laid back feeling. People are generally friendly. Air is much purer than in inland Canada, thanks to the ocean being nearby.

What a fabulous city.
What a fabulous city. So much to see and do and such nice people. Would love to have had longer there. The harbour area is beautiful, however it was raining when we were there. I can only imagine how spectacular it would be on a nice dry day. Would go back in a heart beat.

Halifax is a wonderful city to visit.
Halifax is a wonderful city to visit. Many activities in the downtown area. The waterfront walk is delightful. But be aware that the hilly streets can be challenging for older or challenged visitors. Don't miss the City Public Gardens. We loved it!!

Halifax is a very attractive port city with many old buildings and newer ones which are also well worth seeing. Great boat trip options, including the ferry to Dartmouth plus the highlight being the Harbor Hopper in Halifax which is an amphibious bus which starts off the tour on land and then goes into the sea. Much of historic interest is in Halifax, including the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic which has features on the Halifax explosion and the Titanic sinking. Also the citadel fort has much military history and great views. Halifax is a very walkable city which includes the pedways where you can walk between some shops and hotels without having to go outside to negotiate your way through the traffic on the way to somewhere e.g. the boardwalk and is also ideal if there is bad weather. The lovely boardwalk stretches almost 4 km in total and is brilliant for getting exercise and seeing the sights while walking down it, with plenty of free chairs to relax in along the way. Also there is a great central pub called The Split Crow and nice restaurants nearby in the central area.
We loved the apartment as it was spacious, very well equipped. Nice touch having bathrobes. The location was fantastic in a lovely neighbourhood, only a 20-minute walk to downtown Halifax. Fantastic balcony with floor to ceiling windows with a lovely view of the surrounding skyline. Great to have private parking. Would rate this property 5 star.
Their breakfast was amazing! a lot of selections and nice view from the restaurant. Our room was a lake view and it was clean. And location was close to enough to downtown Halifax. Also they have an arcade in the hotel which was great. My family enjoyed playing their.
The staff was lovely upon arrival the hotel was very clean. The location is central to everything in downtown Halifax. Which made it very easy to walk around downtown
