The staff was exceedingly friendly and considerate. I stayed here for my 14 day self isolation entering into NS and they made sure the room had extra towels and toiletries. I also was at the hotel during Christmas away from my wife and son who are stranded in another country due to Covid travel restrictions but the staff made it special sent up some chocolates that were absolutely delicious!!

Hotel in Dartmouth, Halifax
Located just 0.6 mi from the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal, this DoubleTree by Hilton Halifax Dartmouth hotel offers free WiFi and a full service restaurant. We drove all across Canada from Tofino, BC to Halifax and stayed at numerous hotels and motels as we drove across. The staff at the DoubleTree were the nicest and friendliest staff of anywhere we stayed, and we stayed at some fancy Fairmont hotels as we went across (ok, maybe the friendliness is tied with the staff at a motel we stayed at on Manitoulin Island). Because I was staying by myself with my dog, the friendly and available staff made me feel super safe and welcome. The location for walking my dog every morning was perfect as there is an off-leash dog area in a nearby park with super friendly local dog owners a very short walk away. Was easy to drive up to Windsor to see relatives or drive through Halifax to get out to Chester to visit other relatives and also easy to drive up to all the lovely Eastern Shore beaches. Also - it was nice and quiet in the room I stayed in, had a super comfy bed and pillow and blackout blinds, etc. which made for great sleeps. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you!!

Halifax is very much a working port. We thought there would have been more tourist things and places. The waterfront may open in summer but the weather was very cold in May while we were there so not much happening on the waterfront. The fort Citadel was excellent as was the Immigration Museum and both worth seeing.
This trip I was able to visit the Citadel and Naval Museum great places for history buffs. The Citadel provided a excellent view of the city. The roads though are a bit tricky to navigate, one can find themselves going in the opposite direction quickly. It does make the visit interesting!
I loved the people that I was meeting for the business I was conducting. The only terrible part of my trip was the disappointing room booking. Halifax is a beautiful city and there are very many opportunities for indoor and outdoor fun. Great music and theatre and fantastic shops and places to eat.
Halifax was far too busy for us, so we stayed in Dartmouth right by the highway we’d be using the next morning. So I never ventured into Halifax. I didn’t like being in such a busy city I wasn’t familiar with.
It's my hometown so I'm a little biased, I've always loved it but it's changing and a lot of the character is going as more historic buildings are demolished. It's a great place to visit but with the state of housing and our healthcare system I wouldn't recommend anyone move here unless they can afford it.
A small but interesting city with a terrific harbour and a lot of history and culture. I always love the harbour front, the Citadel and pubs and restaurants especially Wongs and the Palladium in Cole Harbour.
The staff were really great and location was excellent. Close proximity to everything in downtown Halifax. Enjoyed their choice of hot and cold breakfast. Comfortable bed. Stayed here from June 10-13, returned June 16th for a night before our flight on the 17th. We returned our car rental at 11am of June 16th, hotel check in was supposedly 3pm. I called the hotel to ask if we can leave our luggages at the lobby while waiting for check in. Advised to come and unexpectedly, we were checked in at 12noon. It was a big relief for us!
Great location to everything in downtown/historic waterfront area! We never used the car while we were there - walking distance to everything. The hotel is modern and stylish, with a great breakfast. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom had a rain shower head. There is a designated parking lot across the street from the hotel for your car.
Downtown Halifax, Halifax
This is a charming hotel and very well located! Very close to the waterfront and the lively downtown area. The personnel was great as well. Very friendly check in, ability to leave your suitcases at the reception before and after our stay and support with the shower within 1 minute. Our room had a nice balcony.

Very attractive, well maintained property that just got a recent makeover (exterior and exterior). Very good location in the heart of downtown Halifax and walkable to everything. the Inn itself & our room was spotlessly clean & the staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall an excellent value.
Halifax
Slept really well - quiet, clean, comfortable room. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Location is a bit far from downtown, but near the lovely Halifax Gardens and a few nice cafes. Walk into downtown not too far. Good value for a comfortable stay in Halifax.
Excellent location. Steps away to museums in the heart of downtown Halifax. I really enjoyed chatting with Guy at concierge as he has been very helpful. Hotel has a good basic indoor pool, and the room was fantastic.
Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and plenty of food and variety. The hotel was close to many amenities, including restaurants and shopping, and convenient to a ferry to the Halifax waterfront.
This is a luxury hotel. All of the staff were on point. Our room was beautiful. The bathroom is exceptional. Loved this location for Halifax. We were able to walk to dinner and to the Maritime Museum and enjoy harbor.
Nice hotel, very busy/lively. Short walking distance to citadel and shops/restaurants on quinpool street. Also walkable to downtown/ waterfront, but a farther distance. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms.
The hotel is very clean and beautiful; The location is perfect, easily to visit the downtown and taste a lot of delicious foods; Can fully feel the local history, culture and atmosphere
