Grew up in Nova Scotia and Halifax was always a fun place to visit at any age. History galore and fun for the whole family. A million places to eat and Brewpubs for everyone. The waterfront is awesome and even Theodore Tugboat is there for the kids.
Sydney is a very small town, not much to see. We used it as a base to see Louisbourg, and Cape Breton. Since Cape Breton is so large we had to drive for hours to get to/from the places we wanted to see. Although this was a very nice hotel, I would recommend breaking up your stay to the east versus west side of Cape Breton to reduce the long drives. The staff at our hotel were very nice and friendly as was everyone we met in the region. Nova Scotia is a beautiful and very safe place.
Gate way to fabulous museums, etc. Alexander Graham Bell Museum nearby in Badeck, as is Fortress Louisburg. Spent 3hours. It surpasses Williamsburg as a historical attraction. Nova Scotia is fabulous place to visit.
Beautiful town and friendly people. Fortress Louisbourg was very interesting. All of the "inhabitants" were knowledgeable and eager to share that knowledge. Make it a point to stay at Cranberry Cove. This was a wonderful B&B with an amazing innkeeper. This inn was the best we visited in all of Nova Scotia.
We toured the Citadel and Boardwalk, which made for a very relaxing and enjoyable day. We also visited Peggy’s Cove and Mahone Bay. Both places are spectacular and are truly worth a visit. I love Nova Scotia!
One of many small villages/towns that make up this part of Nova Scotia. People are friendly & helpful. Lots of good seafood in this area of Nova Scotia
Great location to see many historic sites in the area. Had our best meal in Nova Scotia at the restaurant within walking distance of the Heritage House , the Black Spoon. The Fortress was great.
Went to Yarmouth, as Cat Ferry came in there. We drove around Nova Scotia, saw many things! Favorite place was Peggys Cove lighthouse area! Really liked seeing the minus tide. People are very friendly!
Absolutely beautiful! Watch the slippery rocks. Great for photography but super crowded with tourist and big tourist buses. Difficult to find nice hotels/ bed and breakfasts in this area of Nova Scotia.
Port Royal is worth paying to get in and see the barracks. The kitchens and blacksmith shop, everything is as it would have been. You can touch stuff too, although with care. Fort Anne was pretty to see, the museum was heady. Everything is pretty spread out in Nova Scotia so expect to drive. All in all Annapolis Royal was a nice town to stay in. We were able to see a few forts go whale watching and see a national park so it worked for us.

The room is very small to fit 6 people, and u need to climb to the upper bed there is no normal ladder ,u climb the bed with no reduce edge to it,scary to get down. A guy from other room came with bites of Bed BUGs.they charge for parking its Not Free, and my parking couldn't fit barely Smart, and I'm driving parking for 35 years. The staff lack of tourist knowledge about nova Scotia. And the helarious they told the guy we have nothing to do tonight about Bed Bugs so he has to stay up all night.

Centrally located and next to everything in the downtown area. Our room was comfortable, clean, affordable and accommodated our needs. The staff was very friendly and informative. They provided a continental breakfast for our 4 night stay. The inn is located in an urban neighborhood which is safe, clean and in walking distance to everything. This was a first time visit to Nova Scotia for us and we enjoyed our stay in Halifax.

We spent two weeks traveling around Nova Scotia and Cape Breton. This was the NICEST hotel we stayed out. It had been updated and everything was provided . Our room had a kitchenette which we loved. The bed was one of the best I have ever slept in. I wish I could have taken it home with me. The landscaping was kept up. They were ever so accomodating and helpful with questions. Again, the best place we were.

Convenient location for us to go downtown then to Peggy's Cove and Lunenberg. We thought the room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, plenty of seating. Glad we booked here and not downtown which would have been more expensive for the room with charges for parking. We had an 8 day trip in Nova Scotia and the two nights at this hotel were the best of our hotels. Would love to visit again.

It's not a new hotel but the room was clean, the air conditioner worked, staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, parking was free but full. Parking was available across the street. We drove the short distance to the passenger ferry and enjoyed a dinner in downtown Halifax. It was a comfortable first night in Nova Scotia for us and we would stay there again.

It was our first time there, my friend and 2 family. If we are fortunate to get back to Nova Scotia we would definitely stay there again.

Our flight arrived about midnight, so it was very nice to just walk 50 meters over a skybridge and into the hotel. Check-in was fast, efficient and friendly. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The next morning we walked 50 meters to the rental car center and got our car. Ideal start to our Nova Scotia vacation.

We had to cancel our last night of reservations because our ferry was departing from the other end of Nova Scotia at 8am the next day. The hotel graciously refunded our money at the last minute. Excellent customer service, and in addition to the cleanliness and great location, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed in Yarmouth our last day in Nova Scotia before we were to board the ferry back to Maine the next morning. This hotel is right next to the ferry and a short ride to the lighthouse. It’s also a short ride from shopping and the movies if the weather is bad when your in town. Very convenient location.

Excellent accommodation for the money. It is a bargain comparing to other hotel prices in Nova Scotia. Decent breakfast and plentiful parking. There is Tim Horton's and small store on the site, which is convenient for food and drinks. Only 1 km walk to Halifax Harbor and downtown.

Excellent location, facility (including computer center with PC's and printer), breakfast, and staff. Sorry we had only one night to spend there since this would be a great base for exploring Halifax and nearby areas of Nova Scotia.

I enjoyed 5 days at the Inn, and could not have been happier. I stayed in room #3, with windows all around, overlooking the harbor. The furnishings were lovely and very well kept. I'm voted best shower in Nova Scotia.

It was a charming apartment on a working farm in southern Nova Scotia. It was our final stop on a 15 day trip through New Brunswick and Nova Scotia before taking the ferry back to Portland, ME.
