The location was in a great little spot away from the busy town. Beds were comfortable and even though the house was small, it was cosy with all the necessary means to make your own meals. Beds were comfy as well. Our host was friendly and very accommodating.

The host is very thoughtful and personable. He was knowledgeable about local attractions and restaurants. The 120 year old house has interesting furnishings. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and the attached bathroom convenient. Don prepared a sumptuous breakfast for us. The property is a 10 minute drive from the main street of St. Andrews. We liked that it was on a woodsy road, away from the touristy part of the peninsula.

St Andrews is a gem. Small town feel. Great food. Lovely accommodations. Proximity to Minister's Island is easy. People friendly. But what I would have liked to explore more are the nearby hiking trails. Did the Rossmount Inn trail and was blessed with SPECTACULAR views. There are other trails to discover and I might have to come back soon to explore this option often overlooked by tourists. What I liked the least is the downtown parking issue. Maybe a shuttle bus service could be provided from an out of town spot nearby to bring people in town. Great business opportunities for summer students.

We loved the little shops and restaurants on Water Street. We all got a St. Andrews hoodie and some other souvenirs. We went whale watching and it was awesome! We had great weather! And we were there for the farmers market! We were amazed at the local deer everywhere. We loved St. Andrews!

Saint Andrews is beautiful - the bay and beaches provide many activities or simply walking along the shoe or boardwalk. We ate dinner at William and Water and breakfast at Honeybeans Coffee, Tea & Treats, both of which had healthy & tasty food and drinks.

St Andrews was a fine place to stop through for the drive home with many restaurants and conveniences. But, for me, after coming off the Cabot Trail, it paled in comparison to the unspoiled beauty of northern Cape Breton.

Very cute little town, nice for walks and talks.

Very cute little town, nice for walks and talks. Many restaurants and souvenirshops. There is quite a bit of tourisme, but end of September it was good ! We had several meals at the Kennedy Inn, our favourite stay in St. Andrew's. Good lobster and the best chowder. The place still has the atmosphere frome a century ago, well maintained after a recent restauration. Nice deck at the brewery, with a view over the harbour.

Easy, walkable street (Water Street) with a variety of lovely shops, including delicious McGuires Speciality Chocolate Icecream. Cafe culture in places, good quality gifts and art works in shops; good restaurants and pubs. Seafood in most restaurants very good. A Market on Thursday morning in Square sells famous bread and local vegetables and art. The Square is next to whale-watching cabins where you can book trips out on various types of boats to see whales in Fundy Bay, and other wildlife (seals, porpoises) (Quoddy Link were very good). Streets are a grid system and easy to walk around. People living in Saint Andrews extremely friendly and polite, very clean local toilets and pretty streets. The only disappointment we had was lack of sandy beach and good access and water for swimming.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. She gave us some recommendations for dinner. Hotel room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a fire pit that was going after dinner until 10:00pm. Very nice ambiance. Enjoyed our stay.

MY room overlooked the water and had a little balcony. It was excellent. The hotel is a little dated and could really use some updating but for one night it was fine Staff was veryfriendly and the location was excellent.
