Amazing hospitality. Nice and spacious rooms. Delicious food and a beautiful area to stay. Went for a tough hike with my younger brother (via alpina1 from lauterbrunen to griesalp). In principle our timing was good, but unfortunately he sprained his ankle on the way down. It was not so bad we needed help, but bad enough that we needed to take it a lot slower to be safe for the final 1k altitude meters downwards. What should’ve been a 9 hour hike turned into 11 hours; Arriving tired and hungry at the property in complete darkness, about 2 hours after the kitchen had officially closed, we did not expect anything anymore. Yet, the owner of the property still offered us a meal and drinks, before showing us to our rooms. Despite her day being finished and she was wrapping things up to call it a night, she treated us with a so much kindness. We’re really grateful, and will make sure to come back to her hotel one day to finish the next section of the via alpina!

I like the living area. They have nice and classic music box. You could play piano in the living area. Hosts are kind and friendly. Hiking trails nearby are fantastic.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided an electric kettle in the room for my morning tea, at my request. I would definitely stay here again.

The rolling out spa-bath, view from our balcony, hotel pool and the hotel breakfast were all highlights. There was a small bar fridge in our room. Great location for the Oeschinensee cable car and hike.

We came for a relaxing minibreak and it was just perfect! Location is amazing, the hotel is surrounded by the mountains, which can be admired from room windows and balcony. The main village with stores is less than 2 km away, so very close but far enough to be away from the touristic hassle. The Sunnbüel cable car is literally 2 minute walk from the hotel, so after spending a wonderful day hiking at the snowy Alps, we stepped straight to warm sauna and relaxing whirlpool, which are available for guests at any time of the day. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, the breakfast had great selection, everything was spotlessly clean, the room was cozy and spacious. We enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up staying an extra night, which the staff helped to arrange without any issues. Highly recommend this hotel!!

Great hotel, large room and bathroom. Very clean. Parking is available in front of the hotel, 6-8 places. In walking distance from a large supermarket and the train station. Location is good to reach attractions or hikes in the area either by car or by train/bus. We were issued guest cards, which could be used as tickets to travel free by train or bus within a specific area. This area included the train to Kandersteg and a discount for the cable car to Oeschinensee.
