United StatesThe room was clean, towels replaced daily, and the staff was very friendly. Upon arrival I was greeted by a staff member at the back entrance with my key. My room was up 3 flights of stairs, and the rest of the rooms are up a total of 5 flights (there is no elevator). I was lucky to have the largest of the 8 rooms on site (I believe), and since was staying for 7 nights it was greatly appreciated.
My room had a nice size, basic bathroom with plenty of space for my toiletries, a heated towel rack, and a fine sized shower. There were small bottles of shampoo and body wash provided. No hairdryer is provided in the room, but there are a couple available in the window of the stairwell, along with some basic toiletries (toothbrush, comb etc).
I had a large shoe and coat rack, a desk with a television, a wardrobe, and a rack for hanging clothing (3 hangers were provided). The bed was firm but comfortable, and I was provided with one pillow and one duvet. Two side tables with drawers and easily accessible outlets were on either side of the bed.
The lighting in the room was great, 2 overhead lamps with nice soft lighting, and 2 side table lamps with the same soft light bulbs. There were 3 large windows with nice, dark curtains that overlooked the road coming into the traffic circle, but I found the noise to be minimal.
The location was perfect. Just a short walk across a beautiful wooden bridge to access a path along the river, or up to the main street. A five minute walk up to the train or bus. I enjoyed a glass of wine in the restaurant but did not have a meal there.
