It was cosy, super clean, very pleasant. Great design and attention to detail. The staff are super friendly and helpful with every question or request. Great size of rooms, comfy lounge and balcony. It is a really great hotel and right at the central square.

Excellent location , opposite station and a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town. Good sized room with a table and chairs and kettle so ideal if you fancy eating in your room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Welcoming to my dog. Breakfast was good quality and a decent selection. ( you can have breakfast on the terrace if you are with a dog). I only stayed one night to break up a journey to italy but would like to come back and stay for longer.

The hotel, though not spacious, pays great attention to detail, and the service staff were exceedingly warm and hospitable. The breakfast was generous and varied. Our room was sizable and impeccably clean, in fact, it was the cleanest we've encountered during our trip. Although the hotel is relatively close to the station, it proved to be slightly farther than convenient for us traveling with young children.

Brig was truly a hidden gem!

Brig was truly a hidden gem! We stayed at Hotel Victoria, directly across from the train station - which we loved. The main part of the city was really close and in walking distance. Great shops and resturants and gelato shops. They have a little train that goes around the city and gives you another perspective. It was perfect! There was a historic castle with tour. Unfortunately, the tour was in German, but we enjoyed it.

Brig is a pretty town surrounded by mountains.

Brig is a pretty town surrounded by mountains. There are lots of restaurant options and shops and a sweet old town. There is a very striking Palace to visit and some lovely nearby walks, including one to a gorge. They have a local pool and a set of thermal pools a short bus ride away.

A very pretty town, with lovely crisp fresh air. Fabulous selection of shops from fashion to food. Friendly and welcoming cafes and restaurants. Particularly like the pretty main square. Overall a feeling of safety and cleanliness.

Great wee town.

Great wee town. The centre was beautiful, as were the surrounding views. We ate at a local wee German restaurant and they seemed surprised we never booked! getting around Brig was easy...just walk, it's not that big. We would have loved to have explored distant villages, but we had no personal transport. We'd come back and explore more.

Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley.

Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley. It represents a train junction both east to west and north to south allowing access to the cities of Bern & Milan. The town is quite and has a few shops and restaurants which only stay open for a short time in the evening. The centre of the town is car free so peaceful to walk around at night. Brig offers transport links by both bus and train to many of the ski resorts in the area. Be aware that travel by train to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn cost 150CF for two people. Drinks & food are expensive in the town but it is safe and pleasant to walk around. There are numerous walks along the river and into the hillside.

Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich...

Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich and Geneva airports and Basel SBB station (a bus goes from Basel airport to Basel SBB), just over an hour by train from Berne. Good hiking opportunities, for example from nearby Naters up to Blatten and further up to Belalp.

Location, how quaint and charming it is! We stayed for a night before boarding the GEX and the location is everything. Just a short 3 minutes walk to the station straight forward. Right in the centre of Brig main attractions too. The hotel itself and the suite we stayed are perfect for kids - very homey, comfortable, with nice toilet and strong showers. Toiletries from Molton Brown works too. They provide token for your hot and cold drinks at the breakfast area, and provide continental breakfast with eggs which is a plus before our ride.

The hotel is beautiful and practically in the centre of Brig. Our room was spacious, airy and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good and the staff were really very nice and always wearing a big smile :) Besides we were given a free garage space for our motorcycle.

Rooms are clean but pretty basic. The hotel is located in a nice and quiet area of Brig, but it is about 15 walking minutes from the train station, uphill. There is a big car park if you come by car.
