The structure is in a old bilding completely renovated. The room was simple and completely in wood that made it somehow cosy. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was a classical continental breakfast with also salty stuffs, very good before skiing. Although simple, the structure has an excellent ratio quality-price

Simply amazing property to stay at; best way to describe it— “magical.” Close to everything, can walk everywhere: ski lifts, restaurants, church, stores, etc. Ski/snow board storage available. Rooms are cozy, well maintained- immaculate!! Even a spacious shared family room to use. Restaurant is top notch- quite possibly the best in Andermatt. Absolutely can’t go wrong with Sonne!!

The hospitality was second to none, 5 of us turned up on...

The hospitality was second to none, 5 of us turned up on motorbikes after only booking a couple of hours earlier. The hosts went out of their way to cook us a home cooked meal even though it really should have been reserved earlier, as there was nowhere else open, there was also an honesty bar. The room was cramped, 6 mattresses in a row, and basic but it was all we needed after a hard days riding. Then it was topped off in the morning with an included continental breakfast, that was great. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

This hostel was great value. Facilities were clean & comfortable,and there was a room for my bike. It is about a 20 minute walk back to Andermatt,but on a designated pathway,or Hospental has a train station. Ensure you order dinner,as the meals were fantastic,as were the hosts. I’ll definitely return!

Maike and Walter were so lovely, and the food was amazing. They were also very helpful and kept me updated about snow conditions, and the best ways to get to Andermatt. It felt like home away from home. I really enjoyed my stay in Hospental and will definitely be back.

The warm welcome and friendliness of the host The dinner was very good (salad, rice and goulash), and breakfast also great Hospental is 40min walk (beautiful) from Andermatt so perfect if you have some time.
