Amazing view! Also the restaurant staff were so cordial. Since there wasn't a reception, we often had to reach out to them for info and they were more than happy to help. The location was perfect for us. Really close to the bus stop and Interlaken. Our hosts were amazing and made our stay very special. The breakfast was great, we particularly enjoyed the fresh bread and the delicious cheese! A rather nice touch was the little bag outside our room which had a different treat in it each day! Also our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and recommended beautiful places to visit and things to do, such as the mountain party! Thanks to Dani we were able to take the car train from Kandersteg in order to cross into the Valais region! We will definitely go back and stay there! Eric the cat and Heidi the dog were gorgeous!

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is literally steps away from the train. Even with the hotel being by the train station we didn’t hear any noise. The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked perfectly. We had breakfast at the hotel every day, the food area was clean, food was made fresh and was promptly replenished. I personally loved the grilled vegetables. My wife really liked having assortment of cold and hot options. The staff is beyond amazing! We interacted with Eduardo at the front desk, Guido and Anna at the bar lounge. When we checked in Eduardo took the time to share what activities we could do with rain in interlaken, he also shared cameras of different areas nearby and made suggestions. Guido at the lounge is AMAZING!!! He made recommendations based on our time and was very genuine in his interactions. At the end of the day he would ask how everything was. Anna greeted us goodbye even from far away. It was a very personal stay, we are on our honeymoon and will cherish this stay in Essential by Dorint Interlaken West forever thanks to these 3 staff members.

Cute little town on Lake Thun with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Quaint and very cozy. Very close to Interlaken - just 15mins away, making it super convenient for visiting restaurants, grocery stores etc. Central to multiple attractions like Thun, Brienz, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen etc.

This place is amazing and feels even better than home! The views are absolutely stunning, like something out of a dream. The heater worked perfectly, making the house so warm and cozy. Everything we needed was provided, and all the facilities were in great condition. The owner was super friendly and gave clear and helpful instructions, even though we didn’t meet in person. I highly recommend this place to everyone. It’s an unforgettable experience, and I will definitely come back if I visit Switzerland again!

What an amazing stay we have had in this beautiful place. Martin and Maya where warm, hospitable, and out lots of through into our stay. We are extremely glad that we booked this place for our stay in Switzerland. We have had access to skiing opportunities via a short train ride, and the ‘Top of Europe’ can also be reached like this also. If you are thinking of coming to Switzerland, please book this place!
