Ideal location across the street from the castle, at a good price, simple and convenient just for direct accomm that was very comfortable.

Everything better than expected. Room size. All nice and clean. Great location. Host very friendly. 10/10. Worth money.

Location is very convenient and quiet. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Staff was very welcoming too.

Welcoming feel! Awesome location right in front of the Christmas market. Amazing views of the lake from the balcony. Super comfy bed, pillows and duvet!

Hotel on the mountain, small town, very steep drive up the mountain roads. Once checked in, and go out for a walk to shops. Amazing mountain views everywhere. Fresh air too.

Friendly staff. Good location. Nice views.

Very nice Location. Good stop on our way from Copenhagen to the south of France. Fantastic vew. Good restaurant. Nice walk at the sea side.

We were served well in Novel. The host was very helpful with a heath need and the food was excellent.

What a stunning place to stay for three nights. The room was huge and very clean with a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. I made sure to get one with a view. There was no problem getting a kettle from reception and the restaurant even gave me a jug of milk for my tea/coffee. Seeing as there was a fridge this was perfect for a coffee in the morning. The restaurant downstairs is beautiful and what is even better is that there’s a 20% reduction for residents. Because there is a direct train from Geneva airport to Montreux it makes it a perfect place for a beautiful relaxing weekend. The staff were lovely too.

One of the best hotel that I stayed in Swiss. The hotel is new and so clean. The room comes with comfort bed, and has two seperated wet & dry toilet. The breakfast is so delicious and the staffs are passion and responsible. Will recommend friends!!

Location, staff, room, bed, view - everything was amazing.

It was so much better than expected for the price compared to others and the staff were really friendly and helpful

The location was perfect, just a few minutes by walk from the Montreux train station. The staff at the reception was very kind and informative, the view from the room was awesome, and the room itself was large and clean. The Christmas market is located just in front of the hotel.

the view of geneva lake n mountain from the room was stunning, and the staffs were all helpful and friendly the hotel location is prefect, near to train station and Christmas market

Run by a very friendly and helpful couple. The breakfast was wonderful. They have a stunning cat as well in the bar .

The location and the view was amazing.

Wonderful location, easy to find. Unique, nice vibe, good breakfast. I liked the sort of "old school summer elegance" vibe, in the breakfast area I felt like Monsieur Poirot could be sitting across the room 😍😄 especially because these days, a lot of hotels look the same. Hotel du Port has soul. Very helpful, nice staff. Clean bathroom, good shower, quiet room. I slept really well.

Mr.Yves Cuerel is an exceptional human being. I have had a bit of travelling in my life & he is a gem to be found. he hospitality and honest business approach is ledgendry.

Beautiful historical property.

Location is great, clean, quiet and staff friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic stay at Hôtel du Grand Lac Excelsior. The first thing that struck us was how helpful and friendly the staff were, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel itself was clean, there were areas that possibly could be updated, like the carpets in the corridors, but I'm being picky there really, because it didn't affect our stay, and the overall decoration of the hotel was beautiful. We stayed in a suite and it was perfect for our family of four, it was comfortable, with two bathrooms, a sliding door onto the garden, and It was very cosy. The location is the real drawing point, eating breakfast at a window with views of Lac Léman and mountains was breathtaking, I've never had such a beautiful view when eating before. My 5 year old daughter said it was the 'best day of her life'! High praise from this family!

Beautiful property overlooking lake Lausanne

Everything was Great. They upgraded my Single room to Double Twin room, that was a great Surprise and a nice gesture from the Hotel. The Staff was very friendly and were sweet People. I liked the location and lovely view from my Room Balcony.
