Art Deco Hotel Hoffmann is set in a protected building of Kladno’s center and just 984 feet from the town’s castle. It offers rooms with free internet access and a rich buffet breakfast. Wonderful location with charming building. Didn’t have to deal with the crowds and noise of Prague. Great bus service to tram & Metro.
Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub, Sport hotel Sletiště is located in Kladno in the Central Bohemia Region, 15 mi from Prague. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Very clean and nice hotel. Friendly staff and restaurant had very good food. Non smoking hotel which was great.
Located in the center of Kladno, just 2625 feet from Kladno Castle, this 3-star hotel features a 24-hour reception and various restaurants, bars and shops in its complex. I wondered how often the food returned for the next day's breakfast. Some of the "plates" food had "green" edges. The "cinsbuns" put out on Sunday were rather hard and even harder on Monday and Tuesday's tray. We noticed the "yellow yolks" on a young man's plate (left behind uneaten had something black and purple in it. We saw the staff, as well as other people pick up food with their fingers to put items on their plate. One of the staff members pick (from the hot tray) several hot dogs to put on her plate and return to the kitchen.
Set in Kladno, U Admirala has a restaurant, terrace and free WiFi throughout the property. The guest house features family rooms. The staff and owner where extremely kind and helpful, even with our language barrier (they do speak a little English, I speak zero Czech). Help carry my luggage and arrange for a taxi to the airport, early the next morning! It’s a little far from the airport, but the staff, accommodations and price, makes up for the distance. I would definitely return. Thank you!
In many ways the Czech capital Prague has become a tourist's Disneyland. It's a truly beautiful city, but at the same time it is a victim of the inescapable global tourism industry. There are souvenir shops on every corner, Starbucks cafés everywhere, and, of course, crowds and crowds of (English-speaking) visitors. Kladno offers a more authentic experience of the Czech Republic. The city has a beautifully restored historical centre but also offers a flavour of what it must have like to live in a communist state in a city built according to socialist ideals. There are no crowds of tourists in Kladno, no trashy souvenirs - just a genuine Czech community.
