United KingdomThis was our second stay at Mariaweiler Hof. It is perfect for our overnight stay in our way from the UK to Nurnberg. Always a warm and friendly welcome. The room (Superior Double I think) was lovely and spacious, very clean and it’s nice to have the little kitchen for making a cup of tea. The bathroom is huge with a great shower. Bed is very comfortable and huge, probably 2 metres. There is a nice little footpath by a small river nearby so you can stretch your legs after a long drive. We will definitely return and plan to stay a little longer next time and explore the area. Car park is spacious and directly next to the hotel. Breakfast is very good with lots of choices.

The hotel has its own restaurant which is open all days including the monday we visited.
The restaurant menu was varied and the food we ordered was good and plentiful.
The breakfast was excellent with large variety including hot items. We were offered fresh fried eggs.
Excellent value for money. Recommended´!

It is an appropriate place for a family.
It is an appropriate place for a family. It is spacious and clean. They provided clean towels and beddings. They should probably switch out the non stick pots and pans which are already scratched to stainless steel pots for healthier cooked meals. Also provide wooden cooking spoons not only plastics. And the coffee machine and water kettle wasn't cleaned. I had to buy vinegar to clean the water kettle before I could use it. Toilet cleaning and disinfecting liquids was not readily provided before I checked in.

I might say there was a dearth of restaurants, but we self catered which we enjoyed socially with a very handy Netto round the corner!!!

The WC in the room had an open design, meaning it featured a sliding door that couldn't be fully closed. This allowed odors and noise to permeate the room, which was unpleasant for everyone. The inability to close the door led to disturbances at night, as any activity in the WC would disrupt the sleep of others.
Additionally, the hand-washing area was inconveniently positioned in the center of the room. This meant that any attempt to wash one's hands, whether after using the WC or for any other reason, generated a noticeable amount of noise, potentially waking others.
I find it quite disappointing that such a design was implemented in a 4-star hotel, and even more so that the hotel reception deemed it a modern concept. Is this truly the case?

One can tell that the owner is an experienced high-end hotelier. Everything was there and in the right place. We were extremely satisfied with our stay. Dinner was home cooked and excellent. Breakfast comprehensive. The room well appointed. We will go back again without hesitation.
