The hotel also has a restaurant renowned in the region. We had a wonderful dinner there—both the food and the service were excellent.

There is not much happening in Klais, other than a few walks...
There is not much happening in Klais, other than a few walks or cross country skiing in winter. Now in autumn it is a lovely, quiet base for all sorts of excursions in the vicinity. Mittenwald and Garmisch Partenkirchen are only a few km away.

Klais is very small village, there is nothing, no bakery no...
Klais is very small village, there is nothing, no bakery no shops.
On the other hand it is very quiet and just a short drive to Garmisch.
Some hikes can be started directly from there.
There is a train and a bus station.

Thanks to the hosts’ attention and care, we felt like welcome guests.
The hotel is furnished cozily and with love.
The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. There was a full-size hairdryer in the room.
Breakfast was delicious with a good variety. Thanks to the product selection system, everything was fresh and beautifully presented.
Convenient parking.

The location was good. It was a 10 mins walk to the train station Klais from which you could ride the RB to the next station Garmisch. Many hiking trails nearby. For children there was a small play area at hotel itself which my child enjoyed a lot. The breakfast was simple and good without overwhelming options. Rooms were big enough and clean.

Just 10 minutes drive from Mittenwald in the glorious German Alps. We had a very comfortable room with a lovely view and a delicious dinner at the hotel
