The breakfast was simple, like most continental breakfasts in Europe. Nothing special but nice enough. We ate dinner there every night, and everything was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the house-made hazelnut schnapps. I wish I could have bought a bottle. It is 150 meters from the small village center. We had nice drinks and cakes there.

I loved how the property was tucked into the woods. The staff were amazing. We arrived early and rang the bell. Luckily they answered and let us store our bags in the lobby area. The receptionists were personable, helpful, and kind. Our room was perfect for three people and used the pull out couch for one of us. It was comfortable. The sauna was a bonus! We enjoyed the open kitchen and honor system for drinks. I would stay here again.

We traveled by bikes to Bad Schandau so we could store them in a bike storage (they have 2 storages for bikes and e-bikes). the staff at hotel was very kind, smiling and helpful, we also received free pass for travelling by bus & train in the surroundings. The breakfast was fabulous and beds were comfortable.

The location was great. Some hiking trails started right around the corner. The “Burg Hohnstein” was nearby. A great place to enjoy the sunset. The sauna and pool were great after a day of hiking. The two saunas were large and like new. The food was really super, breakfast and dinner! Comfortable rooms.
