We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport; essentially after a long day of travel to Dominica, we just wanted a quick taxi ride to a hotel to relax and unwind. The hotel was a great choice for this. We were there in mid-February 2025 and there was evidence of a 'former glory' (prior to a hurricane, perhaps) in the form of an outdoor courtyard, bar and stage. There was construction in process and I have hopes for a bright future for this facility as the entire staff was extremely welcoming, attentive and informative. Since there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity, we requested a dinner there, which was superb as was the breakfast the following morning. After breakfast, we walked about 45 minutes, mostly downhill and quite scenic, back to the airport to get a rental car and began our exploration of Dominica. Some travelers might choose to do it differently and immediately leave the airport area to 'see the sights'. I have no regrets; primarily because of the friendly staff at the Classique International.

I stayed 4 nights in this quiet well maintained rustic Inn close (about a 10-15 minute drive) to Marigot and the Douglas Charles International Airport. My room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed, high ceilings, efficient fan, and good storage space. The washroom had good water pressure and a walk in shower. It was quiet overnight so I always had a good night’s sleep. The surrounding area was lush and green with beautiful views. The breakfast area on the main level close to reception offered a perfect venue to socialize with fellow travellers. The upper level dinner dining area and bar also provided a great opportunity to socialize. The meals served at the Inn were delicious although in my case not included in my overall cost. The staff were courteous and professional and were also helpful in assisting with area tours. There was parking available for my rent a car at the entrance to the Inn. The wifi reception was excellent. This place is a few miles from the town of Marigot so in order to access a larger convenience store one has to hire a taxi or have a rental car. Walking on the main road requires caution owing to the vehicular traffic and it would take approximately one hour to reach Marigot. All in all a very pleasant stay in a scenic location with access to delicious meals prepared and served by friendly staff.

Beautiful area to stay if you are travelling too or from the airport but not much around and beaches aren’t amazing. The other side of the island is the best for beaches. There are no atm so make sure you bring money or you have to travel back to airport or the city centre.
