Bayahibe small and cozy, easy to drive, we were there to look for possible place to live. However the europeans have locked up the town and are building many apartment complex's for tourism. Too expensive to rent or buy in Bayahibe. Nice place to visit at Villa Baya for 4 days and that is it. 30 tour bus's bring in 2000 people daily from all over to go on catamaran tours, particularly to Isla Saona I suspect, as well as the scuba business. When the apartment complexs are finished in the next 2 to 3 years, Bayahibe is going to be totally overcrowded I suspect. I asked about snorkel tour for a couple hours. $150 usd!!!!! OUCH!! I am a snorkeler as well as a dedicated swimmer.

This is a very safe feeling small village.
This is a very safe feeling small village. We never felt unsafe as we walked around during days or nights. The restaurants along the waterfront served great food at very reasonable prices. Most of the waitstaff do not speak English which made for a bit of fun. I highly recommend taking a full day trip to Saona Island if you are traveling to Bayahibe.

Bayahíbe is an excellent place.
Bayahíbe is an excellent place. Nice view and it is closer from the SDQ airport than Punta Cana.
The beach was pretty safe and there is a lot of security staff all around the place. No problem with that.
The beach is not too salty, and the sand is clean and white. I really liked Bayahíbe.
I spent 2 weeks in the Dominican Republic and this was the best place I slept in! Large rooms, air conditioning, private bathroom, TV with netflix, cleanliness and staff at the top! The place is really nice and the atmosphere is super nice. I also recommend the Garden restaurant, great food and fair prices! The place is popular with many international travelers. If you need information, the staff is always available with useful advice.
After having stayed a week before at Riu Macao in Punta Cana Whala!Bayahibe was something of a let down.
I am comparing the prices and at over $1,800 for a week stay I must say it was a disappointment. No problem
with the room, beds, pools etc. but the hotel is well overpricede and I doublt if the locals who were also staying
at the hotel paid $1,800 which is a month´s salary in the Dominican Republic. Personnel were very friendly.
One of the best hosts we ever had! He drove us also from Punta Cana and towards Romana before/after our stay. Once again a big thanks! The Hotel is also good, but the prices for drinks are really expensive. But there is a minimarket down the road, and a fridge right in your room.
Young people who worked there as volunteers were helpful and very kind. They tried very hard to make my stay pleasant.
Not so far from Bayahibe public beach.
Bed was comfortable.
Good for one-two nights.
The hotel has very good services, the a la carte restaurants have very good food, the employees are very friendly and willing to help you, the beach is very clean and beautiful, I recommend this hotel!
