This friendly, modern hotel is located in the commercial heart of Badajoz, just a short walk from the city’s most popular sights and shopping streets. It's a really excellent hotel located on a quiet street, close to all the amenities of the city. Everything inside is white. I had a room on the third floor, which felt both comfortable and private, with an airy view out over the rooftops to the sunrise and sky. The room was spacious and well arranged, plenty of tables to organise my things, (without clutter of extraneous articles belonging to the hotel.) Staff always on hand if needed at the reception.

The historic town centre, including the castle feature, is interesting and worth a look. You'll need to put your car in a parking station and walk around, due to narrow streets and traffic control. Most cafes don't open until mid-morning ish.
The bridge across the river was very nice and looked nice when it was illuminated at night. I cannot really give a thorough review as I don't think we found the best parts of Badajoz. We did come across a street market but didn't feel comfortable walking around it so left quickly.
A small city with some historical intrest. Cathedra, fortifications and bridge. The city is a long trip by rail. The restaurants exist and are open in the old city center. Spanish is recommended but the locals are helpful.
It’s a beautiful city with a historical and modern atmosphere, we have to mention the bar / restaurant Dieci9, the food is not just excellent, gourmet food with incredible prices, the place and the ambience is amazing, the Serrano ham amazing and all the other dishes, truthfully one of the best meals I ever had.
Unfortunately it was a very hot day when we were in Badajoz (+42C). The city has very interesting history but British tourists need to be aware of siesta in Spain (2pm - 7pm everything closed). Easy to walk within the city walls and the riverside walks give extra special views of this walled city.. Plenty of places to eat and have a drink. Badajoz is well worth a visit.
The city as a whole is great! It's kind of laid back but I like it that way. Food is delish and affordable even to one on a budget. The locals are friendly and helpful. Couldn't wait to go back and explore more.
The pool was a vacation all on its own. There is a shallow pool for the smaller kids too!
