The hotel is right on the Camino, just behind a bar and opposite a laundromat. The lady at the reception desk spoke very good English and checked us in quickly. The room was a decent size and the beds were comfortable. The shower (no bath tub) was large, and good. We ate dinner at the bar in front of the hotel. The man who runs the bar was very helpful and the hamburgers were good value for money as well as tasty.

Hotel Vía Argentum - Spa y Gastronomía is located 30 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage Site, Santiago de Compostela. It offers free Wi-Fi in public areas and a free gym.

The hotel is walking distance / close to the city center. It looks modern and reception area is wide. Rooms are clean and the clerks at the reception / Lobby area are nice. Location is convenient (1 hour or less minutes to Santiago de Compostela)

This is a comfortable, well-run pension. I would not hesitate to stay here again if coming though the area. The rooms were well-kept and warm (in the fall).

I only have good things to say about this place and the hostess, Paula. Initially I really didn’t know anything about Gres/Ponte Ledesma. I just thought the property looked beautiful and I enjoy staying in the countryside vs big cities. Turns out, the area is amazing. Like a fairytale town. The property is right next to the Ulla River where you can simply enjoy the view or go for a swim in the comfortable waters. Somehow I even managed to start my stay there on a night when a local group of actors and I guess locals were doing a performance based on the area’s history where they stood up to Napoleon’s forces, which was a super unique and fun experience. There are many waterfalls and beautiful areas nearby… and overall it’s just a lovely place to relax and forget about the rest of the world for a while. Paula also serves breakfast from 8:30-11 in the morning with lots of tasty meats, cheeses, fruits, sweets and delicious things. Fresh coffee and orange juice. She was so kind despite my limited Spanish. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely beautiful apartment, nice big windows, beautiful wood floors, lots of space and quiet too. Perfectly located in the center of town. Check in was easy and host communicated well.
