We were in Peñalén to view the solar eclipse of 2026. We had a lovely stay at La Casita de la Bruja. I would say the interior looks better than in the photos. Parking next to the door is easy. We did not speak Spanish and communicated via Google Translate and Whatsapp translation tools, and it went perfectly. Our host was most attentive and helpful, she provided us with parking permit for the Alto Tajo area, helped us to obtain salt on extremely short notice, and persuaded us to visit Sima de Alcoron, which was great. By the way Perseid meteors in Peñalén are absolutely stunning.
