It's a pet friendly house with a great pool and garden. The house is well cleaned and the maintenance is cool. It took me some 15-20 minutes driving from the house to Avila (city). We took a visit about the muralla of Avila at night. You can cook in the house and there is a full kitchen set. The shower is in good function and the hot water is 24 hours.

Providing garden views, Casa La Colmena Ávila in Ávila provides accommodations, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, and a bar.

Where to begin? The hotel is in the old town of Avila. Around the corner of the cathedral of Santa Theresa, the hotel is reached by traveling up cobblestoned tiny streets. This after you enter this entirely walled citadel (walls intact!) through one of its smallish gates. With GPS we found the hotel easily. Please reserve a parking place. There are very few available. The welcome was nice, our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The property has a garden/pool. A tour is given of the property. We booked breakfast and I can recommend the same. It is not buffet style. Of note: the traditional crushed tomatoes with olive oil and salt were the best ever. The hotel does have an elevator.

The host and the reception were very nice- we arrived after the working hours, the host let us in and even left some coffee in the morning, since we departed before breakfast.

We really liked the location, halfway between the walled city and train station. Very walkable with convenient grocery store. Room was ver nice. We were surprised how quiet it was at night (that’s a good thing!).

This hotel lies 66 feet from the Puerta de la Santa, a historic entrance into Ávila. It offers free Wi-Fi and great views over the Amblés Valley, city walls and Gredos Mountains.

We loved our stay here. The location was excellent, right beside the historic city walls and all the staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming and very helpful and informative. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious, the shower excellent and overall it was extremely comfortable. We took the breakfast option and that was also perfectly adequate for us. We would highly recommend staying here, it was charming.
