FAQs about hotels in Denia

About Denia

Denia, Spain, is a charming coastal city nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Montgó Mountain. Its climate is typically Mediterranean, with warm summers averaging around 86°F and mild winters, usually not dropping below 50°F.

This Spanish city is known for its beautiful beaches and historic castle. The Denia Castle, a 11th-century fortress, offers panoramic views of the city and sea. The city's compact size makes it easy to explore on foot, but there's also a local bus service for longer trips.

Denia's culture is deeply rooted in its fishing heritage, reflected in its cuisine. The city is famous for its seafood dishes, particularly "Gambas Rojas de Denia" (Denia Red Prawns) and "Arroz a Banda" (a type of paella cooked with fish stock). The surrounding region is known for its lush vineyards, offering a variety of local wines to complement your meal.

It’s a beautiful town with a lovely port, castle and old town. Easily walkable. Excellent good scene - so much choice and things got all budgets. Parking can be difficult on the town side but there is plenty by the ferry terminal. There are plenty of walks from the town - to the mountains and by the coast. Tram/train to Benidorm and beyond which is a good day out

Denia is a fantastic place to stay.

Denia is a fantastic place to stay. It has everything the discerning traveller needs from fine dining to takeaway sandwiches. It is very Spanish and you will find a lot of Spanish holiday makers there in the summer months but it never seems too busy. There is plenty to see and do and the castle is worth a visit. The Jamaica Inn is a must see a bar that is over 400 years old and Fuegos is a fantastic steak house! The beaches are long and clean and the sea in September is like walking into a luke warm bath. There is so much to see and make time for a visit to the old town lots of restaurants to enjoy!

We like Denia, the Marina's, the Port, the Old Town, the town itself, We lived there for so many years. Nowhere is the same since the Pandemic, It left a certain sadness everywhere, on the streets, in restaurents & bars, and indeed all over our world! Anne & John Deely

Great location, 5 min walk to rocky beach, bar. 10 mins to sandy beach or more restaurants. 30 mins level walk to marina restaurants. 40 mins walk to town centre. You'll need a car for supermarkets. House is good size for a family of 6. Kitchen well equipped. Very nice enclosed plot, safe for dogs etc. Pool very nice and plenty of parking. Trees do drop a lot of sap however. Summer kitchen well equipped with paelleria, bbq, fridge etc. Denia is a great town for a holiday base, lots restaurant choice, shops and interest.

Beautifully designed, comfortable hotel right on the port in Denia. We booked the sea view room which was really spacious and which I highly recommend. The roof top pool and the various terraces for breakfast/chilling are beautiful spaces to relax on during the day. Hotel provides beach towels which is super handy! In lieu of a bar, the Honesty Bar is a nice amenity that is provided for guests. The team are so lovely, Heidi handled everything perfectly for us and always with a smile.

Beautiful hotel - felt like a cruise ship. Staff very friendly and helpful on arrival. The room was huge with a kitchen/living room and separate bedroom with free standing bath. Gorgeous views of the pool, mountains and sea at no extra cost. Breakfast was amazing too with delish fruits, Spanish meats and a range of hot cooked fresh breakfast options. 5 min walk to the beach, 15 min walk to the centre & marina. Loads of singers, pool a level temp. Would definitely stay here again!

All good, restaurant part of the hotel, perfect. Parking a bit difficult. Right opposite the beach. The best part was breakfast was till 11, very civilised, no rushing to make a 10 am deadline for breakfast when you are on holiday. Plus they had English speaking tv, very rare these days in hotels in Spain. The full English breakfast was incredible as was the coffee!

Beautiful hotel with welcoming staff! The room was nice with a large terrace, and there was even a dog bed for our little dog. The breakfast was one of the best, with everything and more. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent and locally based! Beautiful terrace and garden, nice place for walks and tranquility!

The place was lovely, pool and beach. Breakfast each morning. also, when my taxi never showed up after an hour to get me to the bus station back to Valencia, the hotel had a server drive me to the station after I began to worry. That was very kind.
