Casa Luisa is a really nicely updated hotel and restaurant on the Camino just outside Estella. The decor and furnishings are high end and a great deal of thought has gone into the design. The beds were really comfortable. The restaurant is quite popular with the locals and the food was really good. The serving staff were helpful and spoke English. Breakfast the next morning was great.

Estella
Pensión Buen Camino has accommodations in Estella. Among the facilities at this property are a shared lounge and a tour desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Magnifico! From the moment we were greeted by our names and shown our twin room, the gleaming communal shower and living room space it was a joy. We had booked 2 nights as we intended to walk to Los Arcos or sansol without our packs and take the afternoon bus back. This also worked a treat as Los Arcos was sold out (st Jacques provides!). The excellent tea and coffee making facilities and fridge meant even in covid times ingenuity shines through. The accomodation has two twins and a single and I heartily recommend it. It lies on the Camino and is 2 mins from the bus station so perfect if you want to give your bag and back a rest. I am walking with 4 others in May and I will be booking 3 nights here as we do the Pamplona to Los Arcos stages. Quite simply magnifico. The hosts, the location, the privacy, the price, the comfort the cleanliness. Muchos Gracias!

Great service on the Camino!

The museum was interesting, large collection of art by : Gustavo de Maeztu y Whitney (Vitoria, 30 de agosto de 1887 - Estella, 9 de febrero de 1947) fue un pintor español, hermano del escritor Ramiro de Maeztu y la pedagoga María de Maeztu
Estella is great for wandering around with interesting narrow streets, mediaeval architecture and lovely old churches. There is also a park, a good art gallery and a cultural centre. The lady in the tourist office speaks excellent English and takes time to explain the places of interest. Estella is also on the pilgrim route to Santiago di Compostela.
Estella is a beautiful town, rich in history and with welcoming people. The landmarks and churches are amazing. Cafe Mundo on San Nicholas has a wide gluten free selection on their menu and is excellent taste and value. Be sure to try their Sangria and gluten free cheesecake!
Estella has been on my list to visit. It is worth a visit of more than the 2 days I was here for. I only wish I had more time to wander over the cobble stone steets & view the amazing historical buildings; walk through the parks or over the many bridges that rise up over a very pretty fast flowing river.
Estella is a town on the Camino de Santiago route. Much history here. One hopes it can be revived— the population, once 40,000 is now 14,000. Bar el Che is a great meeting place, the Citadel cafe serves wonderful food and free Wi-Fi ; great restaurants on the plaza.
We had a picnic in the old part of town which was lovely. There was a market in the town square where we found supplies. A wine tasting shop also enjoyed our attentions. Mundo is an excellent restaurant where we had some of the best food on our trip, also vegetarian friendly.
Estella
It was spacious comfortable pleasant. There was nothing more that I would have wanted. The host even mentioned two interesting museums that I could visit and I went. I was very pleased. Even though there was no cost to visit those museums, the exhibitions were well worth it. I would never stay anywhere else when in Estella from now on. Breakfast was an elegant affair and there was nothing I wanted that was not there. Thank you very much to our hosts.
The apartment is centrally situated and of high quality. It had everything we needed for our two night stay (while on the Camino) including a washing machine and clothes airer. Dina was very helpful and came to the rescue when our bags (which we sent forward from place to place using a company - Jacotrans - that arranges this service) were delivered to the wrong location in Estella. Thank you Dina!

We wanted an apartment in Estella to clean our gear and clothes and get ready for the next day of walking the Camino. While a little bit off the track, it is close to great restaurants and shops. Good place to stay after a week of walking.

This hotel is a gem. it is located at the best part of Estella (so good so that people were filming outside when I stayed). The hotel is the picturesque medieval building outside yet modern & clean inside. I would love to come back.

Interesting concept of a hotel without reception, but the autocheckin machine works 24/7. Once you entered all the details you get a plastic card key to open your room.
