Not as pretty as some cities in Spain, but that is made up for by the friendly people. The history is there but well hidden, but if you perceiver you'll be rewarded by some beautiful Baroque churches. There are some lovely parks and nothing beats strolling around them enjoying the shade and calm. Decent bars and eating places near San Gines.
Guadalajara seems like a sleepy little town, until about 7:00pm when everything starts to open up again! Great food and lots of beer stops. Beautiful parks, and some ruins right in the city. The mall is excellent for pretty much everything you would need! We walked all over and back to our hotel with ease.
The small nearby mall (5 min walk) has a food court, massive grocery store, and great shopping. Nothing but food court open on Sunday. A walk across the highway bridge brings you to the beautiful little city of Guadalajara. About 20 min walk to restaurants and shopping. Warning... They take a long siesta in the afternoon and everything is closed!! Reopens around 4:30-5 and then stays open late. Walk to city centre in the evening. Beautiful area, lots of parks.

Hotel is well located, close to motorway and a pleasant walk into town. Free onsite parking was great. The hotel has undergone a major refurbishment relatively recently; the interior design materials & colours are excellent in both room and public areas. We chose to have breakfast, it was good quality and value.

The employee in the hotel is very nice and helpful. They do not provide breakfast but it's easy to find a breakfast nearby. There is also 2supermarket nearby which make things convenient.

This is a typical large modern hotel, where I feel more like a number than a name. The town's facilities are too far away to walk. Menu del dia at the hotel was poor.

It was clean. The people (it seems to be family owned) were friendly and we managed to overcome the fact that we don't speak very much Spanish and they don't speak much English. It feels like a truck stop, Spain style, and that's not a criticism, it's just what it is. Fine location for our family visit.
