An interesting historic town, probably used in winter as a snow sports venue. There are however plenty of local walks and the local bars are really good (Pickaporte especially) Ideal location midway across Spain if you are travelling right across or indeed heading to /from Portugal
Hervas is one of a small number of historic locations in the Extramadura region in the vicinity of Beja and has a rich heritage. Looks like a good area for walking the mountains and the local route maps are excellently produced.
Amos is the son of the owner and he went out of his way to make me feel at home. I travel for a living as part of my work and this is one of the best Hotels I have ever stayed at. It’s an old rustic property but has modern conveniences like a/c and WiFi. The walk in shower was perfect. The back garden was stunning and the breakfast was out of this world - huge surprise! You must have the breakfast!

The owner communicated very well right from the beginning, with specific instructions about how to get the keys. It was centrally located, which was great. Parking wasn't far from the hotel. The bed was very comfortable.
Very quiet. Close to the town. Hervás has quite a lot to see. The staff were really helpful and couldn't have done more for us.
