The entire complex was amazing! The rooms were huge, parking great and the pool was excellent. But the staff - especially breakfast coordinator Carol and the Senior bar tender/waiter - who made the best mojito's in Spain (sorry didn't catch his name) were AMAZING!!! They made Candido extra amazing - with their service and professionalism!

The stunning Roman Aqueduct, fairy-tale Alcázar, and Cathedral were stunning. Enjoy the traditional the signature dish of Segovia the Roast Suckling Pig (Cochinillo) which is so juicy and tender with crispy skin at one of the wonderful restaurants in old town. The royal mint and walks was a great bonus for our trip.
Food Tapas was really good in all the Bars. However most of the Bars did not display Price list for Drinks and in some they were quiet expensive and varied a great deal. Worth a mention Restaurant El Sitio brilliant Tapas Bar/Restaurant and Bar Socorro very good.
Nice city centre with cathedral, Alcazar, lot of churches and of course aqueduct. Everything in a walk distance. Lot of restaurants and bars. Train station approx. 15 minutes by bus from a city centre - on time in the morning. But of course there was a lot of tourists.
Segovia is obsoletely fabulous. It was a short walk to everything & there was tons of ancient history to be seen there. The aquaduct was 2000 years old & built with no mortar - amazing & huge - much bigger than the pictures show. Lots of stores & restaurants to walk to. It had a great ambiance everywhere we went - people safely walking around the streets until midnight.. Lots of friendly families & people with their dogs.
It is a small enough city to get every where on foot, but it is chock full of interesting sites. The cathedral and the aqueduct are not to be missed. The people are friendly and helpful. Jamón Serrano is the local cured ham, available in all the small tapas/bars , an inexpensive quick lunch and a culinary must! If you are looking for a dinner splurge - Jose Maria Restaurant for Roast Suckling Pig (Cochinillo)
Segovia is famous for the aqueduct which is absolutely amazing! When you see it in pictures you cannot realize how huge and imponent it is. But there is also a very beautiful cathedral, some churches as well as a very nice castle which you can visit and from its tower you have a gorgeous view of Segovia. The Royal Palace of Granja San Ildefonso is about 15 km from Segovia, you can drive there or just take the bus. You can visit the palace buying a ticket and the gardens are for free. Go there, you will not regret!
