Eliene (I hope spelling correct), from the moment she received and welcomed us, made us feel comfortable and welcomed! And Bruno, who managed the front desk in the evening, was just as pleasant. Oh, and both spoke very good English, not that we expect all to speak English, but their ability to speak the language was a huge plus for us. Xavier or Xabi, restaurant staff, was just as nice and helpful--and speaks English very well, too! Oh, and Chef Philippe's squid or chippiron dish--I can have that dish daily!

Absolutely beautiful, charming and quiet. Staff were wonderful, food was excellent.

The whole experience was excellent, including the location near the castle ruins, staff were very helpful in assisting with places to visit, the room and view were perfect! When we come back to Basque Country we will definitely stay here!

We stayed in the newly renovated part of the hotel. We had a great room with beautiful balcony and view. It's modern, clean and very nicely designed. The owners are friendly, warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner we had at their restaurant. We wish we could have stayed longer! Couldn't recommend more.

Really great value. This hotel is like stepping back in time. Real phones in the room with a list of local doctor numbers. The food is great, we had dinner and breakfast there. And such a beautiful area! Friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel, perfect staff, lovely rooms that were immaculate. Nuxe toiletries and comfy robes too! Location cannot be better, Sare is absolutely charming, it was our favorite Basque town. We had dinner here and it was delicious, the dining room is cozy and beautifully decorated authentically. Perfection.

The location was perfect and the staff was amazing. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was solid. A perfect choice for a short stay in this wonderful little town. Would definitely come back to this hotel if I happen to travel back there one day.
