Vallehermoso is excellently located for hiking routes in the centre, north and west of the island. There are bus connections with San Sebastián, the capital, and Valle Gran Rey, the main tourism destination. It is a traditional Canarian village with some attractive old houses and is a good place to relax and disconnect. There is a beach at the bottom of the valley where you can sunbathe and also swim if the waves are not too big.ThomasSpain

The location in the mountains is great and the town shops and bars, although simple, are lovely. (It's very rural though - you can walk round the town in 10 minutes). There was parking for the car. We sat on the terrace enjoying a glass of wine as we'd arrived a little early - some lovely spots to sit outside. We ate dinner in the restaurant - very nice indeed. Small, cosy, friendly. Room clean, comfortable, pretty.

The location was perfect for Vallehermoso and very good to start a hike. A supermarket was nearby which is not always expectable on La Gomera. The flat was big with a window seat, to look on the calm street.
