I loved the room the space was awesome jacuzzi ooooh left my family speechless food is too good we booked for one night but we are here from Saturday and still on today is Monday. The staff are so warm. This is the only resort I've stayed in so far where the mattresses were free. Shampoo conditioner and shower gel was in huge dispensers. So hygienic the toilet is away from the taps so I felt free to clean my dishes there and so much room in the bathroom with huge mirrors and the balcony overlooking the sea.

A bit cleaner and not as touristy as Nadi. Market was great able to buy supplies and handicrafts although if you see something buy it that day as when we went back the next day that several stall weren't open. Easy to get around on foot not too spread out Local tailor adjusted a pair of pants for me could have had a dress made in 24 hrs. Found blue ginger cafe great for coffee and WiFi as Wifi expensive at hotels and quiet often didn't work in cafe that advertised it. McDonald's wifi not compatible with IPhones once we tracked down theperson who had the password. Had a day pampering at lautoka spa
We had 5 nights there, 4 would have been better. It is a good base for day trips both to the coast and inland. We don't like resorts that much so it was easy to go into town. There are not a lot of restaurant options and no real book shops either but the locals are very friendly. Standard taxi fare from Nadi Airport is FJD40.
Lautoka town itself was good to visit. We wandered through their farmers fruit & veg market which was very large and very clean. It was easy enough for us to navigate our own way around the town. We were only there for dinner so didnt see too much. A local suggested we eat at “Tigers” restaurant so we did. A little disappointed to find they didn’t serve local fare and instead it was pizza and Chinese takeout. However, we spent FJD$17 for 3 of us, for dinner! Our 5 year old had two slices of pizza which were quite tasty and my hubby and I had fried rice and vegetable chop suey. The portions were huge!! We could’ve had HALF of one of the servings between both of us! 😂 definitely got our money’s worth!
You probably need a whole day to explore Lautoka city is wonderful :) Don’t forget Garden of the sleeping Giants it’s beautiful! Chilli Tree cafe in town is a lovely clean cafe with aircon and good food! Tappoos mall is good to walk around and escape the heat a while :) Great market with an excellent little craft section!
Lautoka is good for shopping. Much better and cleaner than the neighboring Nadi, no pushy sales people trying to rip off tourists. The fresh produce markets are cheap and a good place to grab some fruit. There’s a mall if you want that otherwise shop in the smaller local shops on the street.
There is a beautiful island called Bekana Island just a four minute boat ride away from across the hotel. Gloriously unspoilt with crystal clear water. $10 return with the speedboat on call. I believe that Survivor America will be filmed there from February to October 2018 (approx). South Seas Club has the greatest curries ever.Try the fish curry and the duck curry as well as the fried fish. It's in an industrial area but once inside you can sit on the waters edge. My friend told me that this is where the "movers and shakers" go. Only a few minutes away from the hotel. It's a must try for serious curry lovers.Enjoy Lautoka and don't forget to go to the markets to enjoy the sights, sounds and taste of beautiful fruits and veges. So cheap too. Caroline S.
