This location is one of the most scenic anywhere on the big island. Some other people commented on the road leading up to it and it looks to have improved a lot, but there are still some big potholes down closer to the highway to watch out for. We chose to buy our own food in Rakiraki because there was a kitchen in our room, but the menu at Dreamview looked good and not too expensive. Overall our experience was really nice and I wish we spent more time exploring the area!

A surprise hit. Warm staff and a relaxing environment. I wish we had more than one night. Talica & Bamba were so friendly, fun and gracious staff. Rachelle gave us VIP treatment and I promised her we'd return when we had more time. Fully recommended!

Food was great and the people were beyond welcoming. I dive, so it was very convenient. If you are looking to experience Fijian village community, this is the place. There are opportunities to rent SUPs and kayaks as well.

Very nice place, magnificient scenaries and very open and loving people. Down side was Volivoli Resort where we went for Lunch but was told that we were not allowed inside the facility, it was only for staying and paying guests unless you pay $20.00/head entry fee and then buy your food so it didnt make any sense and was very dissapointing and probsbly the worst response of all the resorts and hotels/motels we have visited over the world but that should not not tarnish Rakiraki's image, it is a fantastic place, Love it

It was lovely to visit my hometown.

It was lovely to visit my hometown. My opinion is that if you come as a family, stay in a villa instead of a hotel especially in Rakiraki. You can cook your own food, be comfortable and also enjoy the view of the sea so freely. It was nice to have the family come round for meet up and catch ups. If you’re going into town, always pick a taxi! Be prepared to always have change such as coins and $10, $5 notes and avoid giving $100 notes. So far my top pick would be Bularagi villa or Dream view villas.

Rakiraki is approx 3 hours drive depending on the traffic.

Rakiraki is approx 3 hours drive depending on the traffic. The main road has many potholes to avoid as you get closer to Rakiraki. There is little access to the sea unless you are staying at a resort that can give you access. We had meals at Duadua and Volivoli. Volivoli has the best meals. You need to book for dinner.

Love Rakiraki beautiful coast line alot of developments. I would recommend it to anyone looking to experience Fiji and their lay back way if life. There are resorts along this beautiful bay of Rakiraki that you would enjoy if you keep an open mind and expect simple things in life are the best and enjoy its beautiful coastline. I love the town..I will leave it to you if you visit keeping an open mind..love..love Rakiraki so different from coral coast and their resorts.

I have been to Rakiraki several times for work but would go...

I have been to Rakiraki several times for work but would go back for a holiday. The only thing that has prevented me is not being able to get a booking during the longer Fiji holidays. There is no real nightlife but if you went with friends it has everything else you need to relax. If you prefer the solitary relaxing holiday experience then Rakiraki is a wonderful, affordable place to go.

Joji and Alisi, with thier kids, are very kind people. The meals made by Alisi were delicous. We had a good time overall here. The place is really quite, Joji always ready to help. We arrived there at 9pm and Alisi made us dinner at that moment and also offered a nice cup of tea. Felt warm. This place is not for those who looking for hotel experience, it;s more like your neighbour. I would like to come back again.

Our stay at Dreamview Villas in Rakiraki was absolutely breathtaking. The views were stunning, the villa was beautifully maintained, and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. To top it all off, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade, which made our experience even more special. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

Everything about this stay was excellent. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing, the location in Rakiraki was perfect for what we wanted, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The food was great too, and the room was comfortable and well-kept — really couldn’t fault it.

Great part of the north east coast, beautiful sea breezes and nearby market town of Rakiraki that has everything you need. The place had all the basics for self catering and hot water. Decent fridge and freezer. Good hosts who assisted with anything needed. Good wifi.
