The house was beautiful. We loved sitting and looking out the windows at the sound and colorful homes dotted on the hillside. Great location for hikes and scenic drives.

Very clean and cozy room with views above the bay/fjord. Cozy common areas. There are two shared bathrooms for the 4 rooms (i.e. 8 guests) but very clean. Friendly owner, would come again with pleasure.

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location. Located very near the Vagar airport, it provided ready access to many of the best hikes and natural sites in the area. The facility was well furnished, very clean and immaculately maintained.

The location is super nice and the view is magnificent. The host was very nice and very friendly. Also, he was super helpful and waited for our late arrival. The room was very clean and cozy and our private bathroom was big and nice. Lastly it was very easy to pay by cash. There are two ATM near the house, literally 2 minutes by car. For us if you want to stay in Vagar either for one night or more you have your answer, the Atlantic view guest house 😁.

Great location after 2 long days of flying. Cutest and chillest orange cat I've ever met. Staff was pleasant and welcoming. Great views from campsite, although very windy.

A very convenient location when arriving by air from...

A very convenient location when arriving by air from overseas. Just a few minutes' drive from the airport, its' a great base to get your bearings. The town has adequate grocery shopping and a petrol station and is convenient for exploring Gasadalur as well as crossing over to Streymoy and beyond.

If you are into hiking, there are several options in the...

If you are into hiking, there are several options in the area in several levels of difficulty. Both near the village and on the island. There is also a small cozy grove by the church. The village is located right next to a large lake, Leitisvatn, where you can, among other things, book a kayak trip across and see Bøsdalafoss. There is a museum, for example Gamla Kálvalíð. There are several shops as well as a grill restaurant and more.
